Hi there

I think you may have lit the fuse with this one. Just look at all the answers already? ;-)

Personally i think people should go to wherever they think is the most important place to be on Christmas. For most that will be with family, friends and loved ones. I think this is the only good thing that comes out of Christmas these days. Yes it would be nice if people remembered what the real purpose of Christmas is but i doubt that's ever going to happen. I think we lost all hope of that happening when Coca-cola got hold of Santa and turned him into what he is today.

Best wishes

No,

unless you believe in a supernatural being whose existence has never been proved, but who knows every living person at an intimate level and created the universe, which of course is complete infantile rubbish. Stand on your own two feet and be responsible for your actions, and don't expect some tooth fairy to take your sins away.

By going to church you are only helping a small wealthy male elite to control vast wealth and repress humanity.

No. I go to church on Christmas Eve.
Not everyone is a Catholic.
Why would everyone go?

"Mass" is a Catholic service.

Should all people attend Catholic services?
No.

Should all people observe the incarnation of God's Son Jesus into the world to save us from the penalty of our sins?
Yes, and not just on Christmas!

Hope that helps.

Catholics should definitely go to Mass on Christmas Day. It is considered a Holy Day of Obligation and it is a joyous occassion as well.

All Christians should go to church services on Christmas Day.

"Mass" is a catholic term for church, and according to Catholic doctrine CATHOLICS should attend mass.

This doctrine does not apply to non-Catholics, but I suppose if they wanted to accompany a Catholic friend or famliy member to mass that would be fine.

I will be going to a Unitarian Universalist Winter Solstice celebration on the 21st of December, and enjoying a nice day off on Christmas day.

I love the Mass on Christmas.. and I am a Protestant. I usually watch the one from Rome on TV. I love the Christmas Eve candle light mass. It's beautiful..NO matter what your faith.

No. 1st of all, christmas is not Jesus' birthday, it is a manifestation of the church and pagan worship. See the encyclopedia, The History channel and the lack of this ceremony mentioned in the Bible. If you are a believer you should go, if not absolutely not.

While candle light masses are gorgeous to see, making such a thing mandatory really takes away from the event don't you think? I am not christian but am glad I have seen at least one candlemas, its fun to see all the rituals I think.

I don't think everyone should go to mass. I do think it is good to go to a church service with your family. The church of your choice.
