more like I go to church because I already AM a part of something and I want to express that with other members of that cause.

People join religions for a vast array of reasons. For me its tradition (how i was raised), to understand the unexplainable, to join with other like minded people to give thanks for the blessings i have been given, and if i had kids it would be a place to show them a system of morals and ethics. In a deeper sense i seek out a less well know mystical connection to the source of creation.

No, I already belong to something and I attend church to be encouraged, uplifted and reminded of God's love for me and His plan for my life.

No, just for the perks and free-bees. It's just another way of hooking up with people who are disillusioned with other forms of socializing such as bars and clubs and are on the wagon................Just kidding, I don't go to church.

y just got the million dollar question right. its all because people are weak. all religion qualifies as a cult, they just dont like to be called that when they have enuf people to justify themselves. imagine all the good and societal growth that could be accomplished if religion wasnt sucking away peoples energy

i thinkn for some it is a fun social club but for most they just do it to be a part of their believes and have fun
