Perhaps it was a kind word, a smile, simply a sunset, a bird singing, or even an old friend calling to say you are loved? I see all these things and more as spiritual moments.
Peace Be With You,

if you abandon belief in a deity altogether you have, to many, committed an unforgivable act?

"I believe in magic tablets and that I'll play my uncle in volleyball in the clouds" Oh, that's his right.

"I believe that I haven't reached level 7 yet on my pre-post clear" Oh, that's his right.

"I don't believe in any of it". SINNER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Yeah, neither do I.

But.....Do you know who thinks that some of the greastest evil in the world comes from the Jewish mind?

The co-author of the Left Behind series, Tim LaHaye seems to think so.

http://www.slate.com/id/45483/

LaHaye explained. "Some of the greatest evil in the history of the world was concocted in the Jewish mind. Sigmund Freud, Marx, these were Jewish minds that were infected with atheism."

Personally, I think that great evil comes from a Red Sox fans mind. But I guess I didn't get enough of that anti-semite training in those left behind novels!

All right, I am a very educated, level headed man, who doesn't believe in things which bear no proof or substance (i.e., God)

At this point in my life, however, I have "devolved" from disregarding all things supernatural as fiction, to not writing anything off as true unless I have evidence in it's truthfullness.

I'm asking anyone out there who claims to be a psychic, to refute my skepticism, and answer three questions for me. Note, these questions do not have answers which can be found in my profile, or any of questions I have answered, and are deeply personal. They're easy to guess at, I would suppose, but I want specifics. If you can answer ONE question correctly, then I won't write you off as a phony. If you answer TWO or more, then, well, you win.

QUESTION ONE:

I love only one woman: tell me something about her

QUESTION TWO:

My daughter is 17 years old: tell me something about her

QUESTION THREE:

I have a drug addiction: What is my drug of choice?

...and got all the atheists and agnostics kicked off of R&S...

...they'd fight a lot more amongst themselves, don't you think?

I'd say we're actually doing you theists a FAVOR by being here; we're giving you a common enemy against which you can unite!

Now aren't you glad we're here?

He told people to pray to god "lead us not to temptation, but deliver us from evil". Is he saying that god does led people to temptation unless we beg him not to? If he was god shouldn't he have known that he does not get involved with our "choice" to do evil? Was he confused? Or just a man with questions like the rest of us?

will you feel like an idiot for having worshiped your religion?

like... when you are looking at earth from billion of miles away and think that at one time people imagined a holy war on earth was Gods primary concern... wont you feel like an ***?

or Christians, how would it make you feel if you were standing on an alien planet on the other side of the galaxy that was more advanced than us and had different views of where we all came from?

on behalf of all mankind to those of you who still believe in religion, please dont kill us all before we get there.

Someone asked if Jesus ever mentioned gays himself in the Bible:
I couldn't find them, so I couldnt email this answer.

Aren't I bad?
anywho, my answer:

Its impossible to know exactly what Jesus said in his lifetime, because it would be extremely deluded to think the words in the Bible were the only words he ever uttered.

You may also notice that Jesus did not mention that it was wrong to engage in incestous acts. Does that make it any less forbidden?

However, it all depends on where you stand, do you believe the bible is a faultless word of God? therefore, even though iut was not written by God, it was commisioned by God to have the "correct" info in it?

Christians are generally aware fo the fact that you can't "cut and paste" with the bible. You can't exclude any of its writings because it wasn't spoken by Jesus himself.

I have no doubt in my mind that Jesus loved homosexuals, but did not love the sin which would tear them from God.

I don't care for the idea of an Atheist Mafia. One of the things I hate about religion and patriotism is the inherent governing of though. Loosely joined atheists is much better because, it insures to some degree, the freedom of thought.

What do you think?

One of my friends is going to be baptized into the Mormon church, and I am of course, very happy for her since she has found spiritual fulfillment. I want to get her something for her baptism, and I thought maybe a book. I know some Mormon Books--The Book of Mormon, obviously, D&C, Gospel Principles, The Pearl of Great Price...are there any others that are widely read or considered "good" books by the Mormon community? I want to get her something to show her that I really support her, but I don't have a good idea what things would be good gifts. I am not Mormon, so I really don't know. Thank you for any help you can give.
