Someone asked if Jesus ever mentioned gays himself in the Bible:
I couldn't find them, so I couldnt email this answer.

Aren't I bad?
anywho, my answer:

Its impossible to know exactly what Jesus said in his lifetime, because it would be extremely deluded to think the words in the Bible were the only words he ever uttered.

You may also notice that Jesus did not mention that it was wrong to engage in incestous acts. Does that make it any less forbidden?

However, it all depends on where you stand, do you believe the bible is a faultless word of God? therefore, even though iut was not written by God, it was commisioned by God to have the "correct" info in it?

Christians are generally aware fo the fact that you can't "cut and paste" with the bible. You can't exclude any of its writings because it wasn't spoken by Jesus himself.

I have no doubt in my mind that Jesus loved homosexuals, but did not love the sin which would tear them from God.

Humans lust for a closeness, a connection. Whether it is a deep and meanignful connection or just a series of one-night stand connections, the desire is there. We lost our connection with God when Adam and Eve decided to test out life without God.

Not fair. No. Jesus loves everyone. He does not consider homosexuality any more of an abomination than to lie or steal.

Still, homosexual activities is a deviation from God's original plan, which is translated into english under the umbrella term "sin". All sin does is work against our relationship with God.

Now, I myself am a bi-sexual, being a woman who is interested by boith genders, yet am more aroused by women.

I understand that God has given me the chance to live life and see him later on. Its not fair that Jesus must be held responsible for the lustings of my flesh.

I believe the Bible writers were inspired rather that the specific words. They wrote in the context of their times.

Matthew 22:37Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind. 38. This is the first and great commandment. 39. And the second [is] like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. 40. On these two commandments hang all the law and the prophets.

These six [things] doth the Lord hate: yea, seven [are] an abomination unto him: A proud look, a lying tongue, and hands that shed innocent blood, An heart that deviseth wicked imaginations, feet that be swift in running to mischief, A false witness [that] speaketh lies, and he that soweth discord among brethren. Proverbs 6:16-19

There is also something about all sins being the same in G-d's eyes that I can't find. This is close: For whosoever shall keep the whole law, and yet offend in one [point], he is guilty of all. James 2:10-11

At least it is not our place to judge. We will be judged in the same way we judge others. Each person must have an individual relationship with their Creator and follow the conscience they are given. Those who dictate right and wrong for others have a need for power and are judgemental. That isn't loving your neighbor as youself.

nicely, enable's inspect it this way. enable's say a million in one hundred human beings are gay. Statistically, if Jesus met one hundred human beings, he met somebody gay. on the different paw, he by no potential reported something approximately it. He by no potential mentioned to a gay guy (or gal) 'Repent you filthy homo'. in line with danger.... that is by way of fact Jesus could no longer care much less regardless of if a dude exchange into gay or right this moment. ===== >>"gay marriage is going to electrify our destiny very much if it retains starting to be criminal in greater states." Why? The Greeks time-honored it and that that they had between the main present day and respected civilisations of the classic international, giving upward thrust to philosophy, medicine and so on...

I would beg to differ about homosexuality not being worse than stealing, etc. Sins against the body, sex sins, are more serious, and have a greater harm to our sprirt and souls.

Jesus did say that not one little bit of the law would pass away. I think that would include the laws about who or what God thinks we can have sex with.

I think Jesus did say somewhere in the bible that he came to uphold the previous laws (i.e., the Old Testament stuff), not tear them down. Dunno where it says that. And that's where it says the stuff about how gays should be put to death.

Makes me glad I don't believe any of that bunk.

So what is your question?

Generally, I think that people that are opposed to homosexual behavior should stop engaging in it.

If it started and ended there, that would solve so many problems.
