will you feel like an idiot for having worshiped your religion?

like... when you are looking at earth from billion of miles away and think that at one time people imagined a holy war on earth was Gods primary concern... wont you feel like an ***?

or Christians, how would it make you feel if you were standing on an alien planet on the other side of the galaxy that was more advanced than us and had different views of where we all came from?

on behalf of all mankind to those of you who still believe in religion, please dont kill us all before we get there.

gee frankly frank, i had never thought of that before. no, i wont feel like an idiot. ill be brave enough to know that my existence is about to end and hopefully i will have made an impact in the world that i will be proud of. btw insulting me isnt going to get you anywhere with your God... you shouldnt really even be talking to me.

Steve,

your question is a fallacy because you assume that I will be standing in front of the entity you believe in.

Why? because I dislike religions, i dislike what they teach, what they do to peoples minds, how they hinder the progress of humanity, holw wars are waged in their names, how people blindly and ignorantly follow them, how people ignore science while embracing a particular religion, etc. I dont like seeing people believe in religion because Iit is a waste of your brain and also because I would like to see humanity go far and do good things. I think if we do kill ourselves off that there is a good chance religion will be the reason. I think you, who has embraced whatever religion you happen to believe in probably have less of a perspective on your own religion in contrast to other religions and humanity in general, that i do as a "youg man".

im trying to teach you. im trying to give you a new perspective to crack open your mind.

btw Steve, if youre going to talk trash to other participants you should allow people to contact you so they can tell you that they have replied to your question.

A far more pertinent question would be..

When you die, and your Savior confronts you and asks, 'Why young man, would you intentionally insult a group of people, who have never done you harm...just for your own jollies?"

I promise, once you answer that one, I'll answer yours...

Good Luck to you in your quest..

Again Sir, my question still stands....why do you feel you must intentionally insult people? You hate them, I get that....if I said I hate gays....and insulted them like you do Christians....Yahoo would never again let me on their site...

Hating is not an excuse for insulting.

Christians have been told for years by the PC crowd, we must learn to understand that which we don't approve. We just had to understand abortionists, gays, muslim terrorists, rampant divorce, activists taking God out of everything...if the Christians could just understand and learn to live with it, we'd all get along.

Why then, must you insult what you don't like, or understand.

The whole point of my answer, was to turn the tables on you..so you can see the hypocrisy in the nature of your question.

I do not know why you cannot connect with me...I took the yahoo defaults...but I have nothing to hide, nor fear from you...email me at statlr41@yahoo.com, at your pleasure..

Lastly, yes I presume a Savior..however, you presume life on faraway planets, presume we will have the ability to get there, presume they will be more intelligent than us, presume they won't understand a Creator, presume this world has not passed away...when it comes to presumptions...you are the winner in this round...

and 1 more thing...when you add up the lives taken too early in this world...Christians come in last.....Muslims, Commies, Nazis, fascists, pre-Christian Jews...all have killed far far more people for the sake of their religions..than Christians have for theirs....and it's not even close...and I presume if you looked even a little...you'd know it's true also.

Again, good luck...

There was one episode of The Twilight Zone, where an alien came to earth and was supposed to give mankind a chemical formula for the cure for cancer (of course we killed him before he got the chance)...

...But when the alien was talking to this little boy, the boy asked about god and whether the aliens believed in a god, and the alien said, all assuredly, that Yes, the aliens knew about God and that it was the same God as we believed in.

I laughed my @$$ off at that.

If there are life forms on other planets, I will not have to wait till humans make contact to know about it. I will die and be in the presence of omniscience before we see the next century. If I even care to know, with all the glory and all, I will just ask.

no i definitely won't feel like an idiot, b/c i know that Christianity will still be relevant even then. after all the Bible was written over 2000 years ago and it is still believed. And God always has been so he still will be then so i don't have any reason to be ashamed

No. My religion doesn't assume the things you're talking about. My religion is largely nature-based and other planets are part of nature.

Ain't gonna happen. We have too many excuses for hating each other. We'll self-destruct before we even get close.
