No, went to shul today though. There was an aufruf (thing celebrating a wedding a week before it is to take place) where during the Torah reading, soft candies were passed out in the women's section and after the reading was finished, we all threw them into the men's section and the men danced around the bimah (table where the Torah is read from) while we all sang happy songs. It was fun--soon the men picked up the candies they got hit with and started throwing them back. It was fun.
Peace

Nope. Spent Friday evening and most of Saturday in shul, returning Monday for a weekly study session on the prophets. I usually go again on Wednesday for a study session on Pirkei Avot, but since this is Thanksgiving week the class doesn't meet this week. Same thing for Hebrew class on Thursday night.
Enjoy your weekly hour at church!

I went tonight with my husband and daughter at the non-denominational church we attend, and I'm going tomorrow to the church where I work as a music director.

I have been wanting to check out this Unitarian church nearby but I have worked everyday this week and I just want to stay in bed.
A month ago I did finally check out a Buddhist Temple here. It was beautiful.
I hope you have a great day.

Yes, unfortunately. I'd rather stay home and enjoy the presence of God with my coffee, my dog, the sunrise, the birds and breeze on my screen porch. But, my paycheck depends on me attending the sham that is church. God hasten the day when I can worship alone in truth and freedom.

At 10:30 am tomorrow, I will be asleep. Dreaming of... things.
Edit: So sleep offends some people? Wow.

I might. It's a welcoming congregation, and the lay leader is an atheist, so I don't feel so left out.
