Remember that Brother Russel and his IMMEDIATE Associates Decided after an (EXTREMELY) Extensive Bible Study that the "Worldly" Date of 539 B.C.E. was the "Foundation" 4 Understanding the END of the "Gentile Times" in the Year 1914 AND Then ALL (OTHER) Bible Prophecies ! ! !

Why was the year 539 B.C.E. So (CRITICAL) to having an "Accurate" Understanding of Bible Chronology and Utimately the year 1914 ???

just seen this article on YA news in regards to Christianity and homophobia
http://uk.news.yahoo.com/pressass/20071118/tuk-tutu-criticises-gay-obsession-6323e80_1.html

Archbishop Desmond Tutu has criticised his own church for being "obsessed" with homosexuality.

The South African Nobel laureate said God "must be weeping" at seeing that the Church had such misplaced priorities. He also criticised the present Archbishop of Canterbury for not demonstrating the attributes of a "welcoming God".

Speaking to Michael Buerk for a special Radio 4 programme, Archbishop Tutu, 76, said: "Our world is facing problems - poverty, HIV and Aids - a devastating pandemic, and conflict. God must be weeping looking at some of the atrocities that we commit against one another. In the face of all of that, our Church, especially the Anglican Church, at this time is almost obsessed with questions of human sexuality

I had a weird dream the other night, that im trying to interpret and something weird was said about St. James, and i have most of the dream figured out, except that. the thing that was said was "go get on the train and tell the pope that St. James hasn't seen Matt yet." (matt's my brother)... so if i know what he was the saint of, or known for, maybe i can figure the rest of the dream.

Which poses the question: What is it about this God that is so radically different from the Greek and Roman Gods whom many view as a mockery? How are Western religions differentiated from any other group deemed as a cult from the Western perspective?

Is it such a radical thought to perhaps suggest that we ourselves are the Creators of this Universe? Many Quantum Physicists are coming to the conclusion that the Universe itself is an intelligent being, and that our thoughts and beliefs help shape how we perceive the world (reality).

This is just an example, it may or may not be true. My point is, that there are a plethora of different options as to who created our Universe. Why not discover who it is yourself rather than following a book created thousands of years ago? In modern times, a Biology book just ten years old is considered outdated. What is it about The Bible that keeps it free from becoming outdated or corrupted by human hands?

I have a crush on a boy. He is very funny and kind. He talks and jokes with me sometimes but I hate the fact that everytime I see him I can't concentrate on my work. I try not to notice him, sometimes I even ignore him which is probably bad because he might think I don't like him. What should I do? I hate the way I feel sometimes.

Also I go to a Christan academy which only has 39 kids so basically everytime I turn around he's right their because the school is so small. I also know that lust is a sin, but the image of him just pops up in the most important situations.

Are there really so many anti-semites or it is just the wrong use of the word anti-semite that makes seem as if there are
so many anti-semites.
I thought anti-semetism means ranting about the Jewish beliefs (i.e the religion Judaism).
I usually disagree with the Jews on the Israel section but they never called me anti-semite. However, I hear a lot of people saying that anybody who disagrees with a Jew on something, be it religion, politics, or even other things is called anti-semite. Could this wrong use of the word anti-semite be the reason why "there are so many anti-semites?"

I know you have a book that tells you that Jesus is the only way, but that isn't the only book on the planet that contains information on how to get to Heaven. What proof do you have that no one but Christians get into Heaven?

Please try to remember, bible scripture is not proof, just as blueprints for the Flux Capacitor from "Back to the Future" does not prove that time-travel is possible.

I'm a giving person, I'm known for it, I've always loved to help people. I'm also an Atheist/Agnostic. My father's Buddhist, my mother's Atheist. I love my parents more than anything in this world and they likewise.

Why must I suffer eternal torture roasting on Satan's BBQ?

Why can't decency be the most important thing there is?

Why is it that fundamentalist Christians would feel comfortable watching from Heaven, hearing my roasting skin crackle and sizzle while Satan slathers boiling BBQ sauce on my body.

That's not love, if anything that's selfish meaningless pity. That's a complete disregard for morality.

Most religions suggest that you should sacrifice certain things in order to make your life more meaningful and pleasing to the divine ... whether its sex, material possessions, or certain foods.

Why is this?

With it being understood that ANYTHING done foolishly and in excess can be harmful, it seems to me that the true meaning of life would be found in enjoying the things we do have, rather than focusing on what we have to live without.

Any thoughts?
