I see a lot of people going around bickering over stupid stuff. What we're REALLY arguing is, "I am right!" are we not? No one can truly be "happy" living their life to prove a point, so why not just live and let live?

I was doing some research, and I must say, I was astounded. I wouldn't have believed it from being on Yahoo Answers, but it appears that atheists, agnostics and those of pagan persuasion are statistically irrelevant! It looks like Christians make up somewhere from 70 to 85 percent of the population. Globally, that number shrinks to 33 percent, but that is still well ahead of other faiths.
Now I fully support someone's right to free expression and practice of faith, and will always defend that. But, at the end of the day, who cares what atheists, agnostics, or pagans think, or feel, or say about faith/religion, public policy, or the way of the world? They are a statistical ant!
We as Christians should just remain strong in faith and know that we do not have to be bullied off of the stage by anyone. We are in the vast majority! That many believers in Christ cannot be wrong! Amen!

What do You believe in, if it's not in God. If You don't, why? And do You have proof? Do You think that there is an afterlife? If not, why? And what would You do if it's true?

It is obvious, even from the Biblical proportions given, that it is impossible for two (at least, sometimes 7?) of every kind of animal on the earth to fit inside the diminsions given. This brings this question to mind for me...whether you believe "kind" refers not to species, but groups representing segments of the animal kingdom does not matter...how did we get all of the variations we have now without a hyper speed micro evolution of species? The only other options is that God created more afterwards, but there is no Biblical support for this.

I basically would like instances such as that of the catholic church denying Galileo's findings. I just want to know when religion has outright denied factual findings, or has tried to remove scientific discovery/advancement.

Or is it similar to fairy dust? It isn't observable, or measurable in any way, but is simply inferred(kinda like God). The explanation is that since "this" happens, there must be some unseen force working. I know I hear a lot of people mocking the notion of God by comparing Him to a fairy in the sky, but isn't it a double standard to believe in something simply because someone says it has to exist, without any real proof or evidence? It seems to me that the only real difference is that one actually cares about you and how you live, while the other is inanimate and therefore easier to handle if you subconsciously don't want responsibility or accountability. I'm not saying dark matter is God or anything, and I don't have a problem with it existing, I am simply saying, why aren't you just as skeptical when it comes to dark matter as to the idea of God?

My Bible teacher told me the Roman Empire fell when they started accepting homosexuality. Then there is Sodom and Gommorrah. What kind of impact do you think sex outside of marriage has on society in general if it is practiced in mass amounts ?
