I am an atheist because there's no good reason to believe in any God or religion. In fact, there are several reasons why atheists don't believe in gods:

First, there are way too many gods and religious traditions. It is difficult to credit one particular religion as being the one true way to God, since there have been so many invented throughout human history. None appears to be any more credible or reliable than any other. Why Christianity and not Islam? Why Judaism and not Hinduism? I have yet to see any objective evidence that would confirm the reliability of one particular religion over another.

Second, the supposed characteristics of God in the Christian religion are undoubtedly very contradictory. It's not that they are lacking in labels and characteristics to attribute to their gods, it's just that so many of these characteristics contradict each other. To put it simply, not all of these characteristics can be true because one cancels out the other out or a combination of two (or more) leads to a logically impossible situation. Now, if this were an unusual situation, it might not be such a big problem. Humans are fallible, after all, and so we should expect people to get things wrong some times. A few bad definitions could thus be dismissed as another example of people having trouble getting a difficult concept exactly right. It probably wouldn't be a good reason to dismiss the subject entirely.

The reality, however, is that this is not an unusual situation. Particularly with Christianity, the religion which most atheists in the West have to contend with, contradictory characteristics and incoherent definitions are the rule. They are so common, in fact, that it's a real surprise when anything like a straightforward and coherent definition shows up. Even a "less bad" definition is a welcome change of pace, given how many really bad definitions or explanations there are.

Lastly, almost all religions require that you have some degree of faith, at the very least. The fact is that faith is not a source of knowledge and understanding. Anything can be justified by faith, so faith ultimately justifies nothing. Do we decide based on whose faith is the strongest, assuming we can measure that? No, the strength of a belief is irrelevant to its truth or falsehood. Do we decide based on whose faith has changed their lives the most? No, that's no indication of something being true. Do we decide based on how popular their belief is? No, the popularity of a belief has no bearing on whether it's true or not. Claims about faith can be used to justify and defend absolutely anything on an equal — and equally unreasonable — basis. Therefore, using faith to justify a claim contributes nothing to the debate and is completely useless.

You're full of questions aren't you? And I should point out to you that "you" isn't capitalised unless it's starting a sentence.

"Do you believe in God?" - No I don't.

"What do you believe in, if it's not in God." - I believe in what I can see, hear, taste, smell, touch & measure. Anything else is conjecture.

"If you don't, why?" - There's no proof such a thing exists.

"And do you have proof?" - Proof of what?

"Do you think that there is an afterlife?" - No.

"If not, why?" - Why would I believe in such a thing? Where's the proof that such a thing exists?

"And what would you do if it's true?" - If what's true? That there's an afterlife? There is none so what's the point?

I don't believe in gods, Abrahamic, Hindu, or otherwise. I believe in love. I don't believe in any gods because there is no reason for me to. It just sounds so contrived. I don't have proof, although the burden of proof is on those who say there are gods, not those who say there is not, but I don't think that people who believe are ignorant or anything. They can believe what they want as long as their beliefs don't interfere with my rights.

I don't think there's an afterlife because there is no reason for me to. If it were true, well, it would depend on the afterlife.

I definatly do not and never will. God, Heaven, Satan, Hell- it's all BS. Where does that come from anyway? How could people honestly believe there is some guy up there with curly blonde hair, a white robe, and golden sandels up in the sky (how could he breath?) saying "YOU THERE! You are not allowed into my heaven club because you just cursed!" Um... Also, if God really created this whole place why do we have soooooo many problems? Free will? thats the most common answer i hear. But, if he created you wouldnt he have had to make your brain putting in the contents that he pleased? And couldn't he get off his lazy *** and help?

And then, thiers that is that big red guy- satan. Living under our feet in a big lair of fire torturing people. WTF? And, this is kind of off topic, but, wouldn't everyone end up in hell? No one is perfect. And everyone- even those crazy, scary, religious freaks have commited a few sins. Satan is even more ridiculous than god, because he is just someone people made up to blame things on. Who is that gullible?

Also, who made up the bible anyway? was it some crazy guy? god himself? mother goose? how do you know it wasnt a collection of ancient fairytales people made to entertain others that was later found by a random guy who said "hey this could work" and just started preaching to everyone? Whta evidence do we have to believe its true? You know that nursery rhyme "hey diddle diddle"? if someone handed it to you and said " hey, this is what happens when a cat aquires a fiddle" would you believe it? if not, why would you believe in the bible?

lastly, god incourages male dominance.think about all of the stories youve heard, dont they all have a male as the savior? isnt god male? because of this reason women in other countries have embarrasingly few rights. Women are just as good as men. Men generaly do tend to be stronger, but thats just one thing. what about being smart. studies show that women are smarter than men. What about care and compassion? some people may think these are low and unimportant, but those people are wrong. if mothers, sistrs, daughters, aunts, etc had no compassion and care, kids would be raised to be mean.

I do not believe in god.
I believe in many other things, among which are truth, justice and love.
I don't believe in god(s) because there is absolutely no evidence (objective, validatable, verifiable) to support the existence of any god.
I don't need proof that no gods exist. I do not need to prove something does not exist if that thing has not been proven to exist in the first place. Try this... do you have proof that the invisible pink unicorn does not exist? If so, does this mean we should all believe in that pink unicorn?

I don't think there is an afterlife, for the same reasons I don't believe in any gods.....no evidence.

I would do nothing if it was true. Same thing that you would do if I am right....you would do nothing.

Not the Christian, Jewish or Islamic idea of God.

I'm heathen, I believe in the religion of my ancestors: what most call the Norse or Anglo/Saxon pantheons.

I tried Christianity (raised in, desperately tried to make it work) but it never did. Found paganism and came home, really became happy and knew I had found my path when I came upon Asatru.

I think there is an afterlife and (as a spiritual leader and something of a warrior) I hope for Valhalla (yes, even females can hope for a hero's death). Or Freya's hall.

What proof is there of Christianity? Arisen fallen savior? I have that somewhat in Balder.

I believe in the Creator, who I call God. God can neither be proven nor disproven. I doubt there is an afterlife, but if there is, I cannot conceive of a Hell. I doubt an afterlife exists because I cannot believe God has the time to deal with us considering the size of the universe.

Oh my goodness, what a deep and meaningless question. I believe the Sun will rise tomorrow and that my wife and children love me. God is for those who lack imagination and substance. I doubt I could prove anything to you for those very reasons. Good luck with that afterlife thing.

"Do You believe in God?" - Yes.
"Do You think that there is an afterlife?" - I hope so, but this is totally up to GOD, I do not know.
