Am not sure there is any specific type used. My uncle is an RCC priest; he said Mass in my grandfather's house once and used whatever wine was in the house, which was " pink Chablis " at the time. There is a whole world of wine - enology - which many people explore. Some wines are sweeter and some more dry. Check it out. ;-)

Depends on what robe the FSM is wearing. If it's Alfredo white, then I like white wine, if the robe is red, then a red wine.

However the communion is a sacred ritual and any kind of wine will do, as long as it's alcoholic.

Not sure what the FSM is but most churches use communion wine which you can buy at any liquor stores.
