Why would you believe in a God who writes a book, and then goes on vacation for a few thousand years?

Jesus is our intercessor with God and God the father does things through Him. We know that Christ is seated at the right hand of the father in heaven. We also know before His Ascension to heaven, Jesus said, "I go to prepare a place for you" He is the priest of the most high and is currently doing exactly what He said He's off to do. His physical body has return to heaven while His holy spirit remains here with us just as He said that He'll send for it upon His return to heaven. So to answer your question, no He has not gone for any vocation. His holy spirit is in every saint's heart (where He dwells). He's working on behalf of the saints to prepare for the 1,000 year millennial reign upon His return. May His Holy spirit help you understand. Take care, God bless

Lets look at what we humans do..just a minute, wait a second, will get back with you, we must do lunch.. all waiting on someone else...and give it a second, pls wait, I have to put you on hold a minute, and it all seems like an eternity..your dowloading should take a few minutes and it crashes. thats to long.

It takes a child 18 years to be an adult, yet they cant wait to grow up, and wish to return to children when they are old.
God wrote the book for you..and is waiting in time for you to read it..but your wasting your time. So patience plays a key for him waiting on you...why so you dont have to suffer eternally..one more sheep to save! Your percieving his vacation, when your not even on the same gps system!

Religion is more of a way to be part of a group, be seen as an equal, have friends, help other people, have your questions answered, and to know that there is always someone out there they will help you; not having a tangible creator and a "god" to answer all of your problems. I don't firmly believe that there is a God, but I am a regular member of church because I have faith, not religion. At least that is how I view life.

To answer your question more directly, there is no reason, other than to have an answer to your questions and have a hope in your heart.

I don't. I believe in a God who still has prophets and continues to give modern day revelation. Why would a loving God abandon his children? How can we be so arrogant as to believe in God and then tell him that we believe he is all done telling us anything and everything?

I don't know what god you are talking about....but the One whose book I read is right here with me. He hasn't gone anywhere. If you can't seem to find God, it's because you have wandered away from Him, not the other way around friend!
