I am in 10th grade. I currently uphold a B+ Average. I just won the school science fair. I am a JW. I beilive in demons. I have seen them move things around in my grandmothers home, (she is a spirit medium) and I have seen them take on a ghostly form around her house. I know what they are, And I have seen them. So why are people so skeptical about a topic such as this? Maybe if people viewed demons not as mythical spirit creatures but as a Highly intelligent spirit race, They would not treat me like I'm crazy when I talk about what i saw....So why are people like this?

I am so blessed and honored to have so many wonderful contacts. They are so very caring and loving and have brought tears and laughter into my life. They send me such thoughful notes. I just want them to know that I pray for them all the time.

I also want to say that I have received very respectful mail from those that don't agree with me and I appreciate that.

Now, I need to ask a question. How do you feel about your contacts?

Genesis 2:18 It is not good for man to be alone. I will make a helper (companion) suitable for him.

1 Corinthians 1-9 1Now concerning the things whereof ye wrote unto me: It is good for a man not to touch a woman.

2Nevertheless, to avoid fornication, let every man have his own wife, and let every woman have her own husband.

3Let the husband render unto the wife due benevolence: and likewise also the wife unto the husband.

4The wife hath not power of her own body, but the husband: and likewise also the husband hath not power of his own body, but the wife.

5Defraud ye not one the other, except it be with consent for a time, that ye may give yourselves to fasting and prayer; and come together again, that Satan tempt you not for your incontinency.

6But I speak this by permission, and not of commandment.

7For I would that all men were even as I myself. But every man hath his proper gift of God, one after this manner, and another after that.

That for the most part it's not the religious who confuse science and faith. It's the atheists that do that.
So who would you trust more? I would trust the person who knows how to separate the two things.

Fellow Christians I have been thinking about this a bit. What do you do when JW's or mormons come knocking? I tend to either ignore them or open the door and say not interested and shut it. I have realized though that this is not the way Christ would deal with them. So the next time they come I am going to invite them in. Offer them something to drink. Ask if they need to use the bathroom or anything. Not going to try and preach or show them the error of their ways. Just show them Christ's love. Will you join me? Do you think this would have an effect on them? Show them Christ with our lives.

How can Jesus be God when Jesus was a BORN HUMAN BEING?? God is the Creator, The Alive, The One attributed with a life that is unlike our life and is not that of a combination of soul, flesh or blood. The First, The One whose Existence is without a beginning.

if you're going to say "god" please don't bother answering, I believe that all life forms came about through evolution, but how did the universe itself get here? i've heard about this big bang theory but i'm not really sure what it is, if anyone has any enlightenment about this, please share it with me, thank you.

I try so hard to continue being a good Christian but I know I am losing my faith and do not know what to do to stop it. I have done the whole trust in God and I see deep in my heart that it not happening, I have lost faith in everything it seems. God, Justice, I had an incident with another member of my church which has driven me out, I know I could find another church but I haven't yet, I feel I can't be bothered.
I've lost my faith in me and my abilities also. I think I must have relied on God a little too much as I feel I am at a loss now.
How do you suggest I restore this....I have read certain passages from the bible, I read my prayer of serenity and footprints always and I no longer feel the comfort in those prayers, things seem to have gone too far.
What shall I do....I never thought I'd be in this situation.

You don't have to type the whole thing out, all you have to do is give the reference.
And if you do not believe in God, please do not comment. Eg. Post a stupid comment that is most disrepectful and hurtful to christains.

I'm beginning to feel like I have to sift through 25 answers that make no sense, have nothing to do with the question posed, are just insults to the asker or are rediculously ignorant (meaning uninformed) and based on sterotypes before I find the one or 2 that are actually thoughtful and based on factual information. How many others wish people would please READ before answering a question?

Now I am someone who realizes that atheists are fools who are missing a very simple point but the fact is you Chrisitans with your silly bible make it so damn hard for someone to take God seriously. You make people say the most horrible and offensive things about him just because you are his supposed representatives and because of your very feeble theology. Now I know many of you are sincere and one who believes and respects God can not be compared with the poor atheists, but I just ask here and now all Christians to please cease and desist from speaking and preaching because frankly you give God a very bad name. And I ask more that you try and study some eastern religions and try and understand the concept of Karma. I believe if you did this you would do a lot to amend this present situation where you and your religion create a world full of atheists and haters of religion.

I was reading an article in USA today that posted this statistic:
"The vast majority of non-Christians — 91% — said Christianity had an anti-gay image, followed by 87% who said it was judgmental and 85% who said it was hypocritical.
Such views were held by smaller percentages of the active churchgoers, but the faith still did not fare well: 80% agreed with the anti-gay label, 52% said Christianity is judgmental, and 47% declared it hypocritical."

I'm wondering if maybe it would be more effective to change the views on Christianity rather than gripe about those who are not Christian. Seems when even 50% of church-goers view Christianity as judgemental...that would be a problem.

My question is "What can Christians do to change this negative viewpoint of Christianity?"

such as the Daisy Scout promise and the pledge? I had someone tell my I should and I was rather surprised. While I do believe that "God" doesn't belong in those places I have no desire to ostrasize my kids and simply teach them that whatever god they want can go with the word. If they choose to have the battle when they are older, I will fully support them, but I'm not going to throw a fit about it. Have I "sold out"?

Hi, I understand that the most of the christians believe that covenant of God to israelites is permenent, uncondition and eternal. So, they support Israel being the promised land for Jews. But this is just general statment. I would like to know the official viewpoint of various denominations.

I have heard Mormons say they worship Christ and I have heard Mormons say they don't worship Christ.

for example see http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index;_ylt=AtS6YFb3bn4Qr17eRDPqCInsy6IX;_ylv=3?qid=20071109155851AAL1yOA&show=7#profile-info-YgsmbTezaa

The Jesus of the Bible is prayed to (Acts 7:59-60; Psalm 116:4 and Zech. 13:9 with 1 Cor. 1:1-2).
The Jesus of the Bible is worshiped (Matt. 2:2,11; 14:33; 28:9; John 9:35-38; Heb. 1:6)
The Jesus of the Bible called God (John 1:1; Heb. 1:8).

If you can't agree on who you worship, isn't this a problem?
