Bible-fundamentalists insist that people should believe the way they do because if not, people (besides them) will be sent by their god to hell.

well, it's either they are painting their god wrong or they are describing exactly what their god is, an egotistic god. so, which one is it?

30 And he said, “With what can we compare the kingdom of God, or what parable shall we use for it? 31 It is like a grain of mustard seed, which, when sown on the ground, is the smallest of all the seeds on earth, 32 yet when it is sown it grows up and becomes larger than all the garden plants and puts out large branches, so that the birds of the air can make nests in its shade.”

33 With many such parables he spoke the word to them, as they were able to hear it. 34 He did not speak to them without a parable, but privately to his own disciples he explained everything.

Historical records tell us that Jesus was likely born in the spring.
Christmas, its traditions of trees and lights, is based on the pagan Winter Solstace holiday, the celebration of the returning of the light on the darkest day of the year. When Christian rulers conquered Europe, they merged holidays and tool over pagan holidays as part of the task to conquer the local people.
Most people are not into history nowdays, so maybe look this up if you don't know. But how can Christians be so adament that this is Jesus' birthday when it's definately NOT?

Then doesnt any purpose we attempt to give ourselves become empty and very void, becuase no matter how much we may acheive here we cant take it with us when we die.

Is life not vain without the presence and understanding of God and His eternal purpose for us?

like, when you say that all people, besides you, will go to hell and that's "the truth" (according to you), would you accept other people's truth that you're delusional?

if not, then why do you insist on other people to accept your own "truth"?

your God Monitors and Judges ALL conversations and communications between the six and a half BILLION humans on this planet and at the same time considers any prayers you may have. DO YOU? We already know he has never played any part in doing something important like stopping wars of death, violence and destruction, eliminating hunger and the death and dying of starving children or eliminating deseases which cause so much sickness and dying. What makes you think for one second you have a God who cares what six and a half BILLION people are talking about so he can JUDGE them? Seriously, are you folks so desperate you actually believe that? C'mon, it is grow up time, wouldn't you say?

The way i see it anything you are willing to call a god must be worthy of worship. The only thing that would be worthy of worship would be perfection.

When I was younger, I was asked if I believed in evolution and responded "yes" and proceeded to explain (what I thought was) Darwin's Theory of Evolution to anyone that was interested. It turns out, that the theory I was explaining was NOT Darwin's but rather was essentially Jean-Baptiste Lamarck's Theory of Evolution (although I never heard of the fella) which 100 years earlier had been discredited by lack of evidence - and was completely wrong. The Theory of Evolution I told went something like this... Animals pass on their aquired traits to their offspring. For example, I would explain, the giraffe's neck grew a few centimeters from stretching to reach the leaves in a tall tree. This trait "long neckness" would then be passed on to its offspring.... and over a period of many generations... the necks of giraffes would grow longer and longer.

I am happy to announce I have since read Darwin and am all straightened out now. End of story!

Joseph Smith claimed God told him all the Christian churches are corrupt and their creeds abomintaitons (Joseph Smith history 1:19 B.H Roberts said "Orthodox Chriistian views are Pagan rather than Christian (Mormon doctrine of deity by B.H. Roberts) Brigham Young said " I saw all the so-called Christian world was grovelling in darkness" Brigham Young JD 8 :199 John Taylor said "What are Christians ignorant? Yes, as ignorant of the things of God as the brute best". (John Taylor, JD 13:225) Bruce r. Mckonkie said "believers in the doctrines of modern Christendom will reap damnation to their souls (Bruce Mckonkie, Mormon Doctrine, p.177) So why do they not interpret these sayings as bashing or hate?

First, I believe in God and science. If someone wanted you to join a club and the first thing they taught you was that they were right and everyone else was wrong and going to hell, or should be killed, you would run the other way. Yet the major world religions say just this! They also rabidly attack science every time science disproves something in their holy books, like the earth is 6,000years old, anyone with a brain knows its older. Worse, they rabidly attack eachother for being exactly the same! Muslim "I am right and you are an infidel.": Christian, "No, I am right and if you don't believe me you will not be saved from hell" Both: "The other is immoral and wrong!" It has been proven that men have altered the bible many times in history, also. Rather than have faith and realize that maybe God is allowing some of his works to be revealed to us through science, as in evolution, the amazing process of bringing varied life from nothing, they want to discredit it.
