Goliath was an average sized giant, and he was 9 feet 9 inches tall and weighed 850 lbs.
the Bible refers to Giants ALOT!!
Amos 2:9-10 "I destroyed the Amorite before you, though he was as tall as the cedars and as strong as the oaks."

Deuteronomy 2:10-11 " the Emites used to live there-a people strong and numerous, as tall as the Anakites"
Numbers 13:17-33, 2 Samuel 21:16, 18 , ect, there are alot!

I encourage you to read the book "Big Bad Bible Giants"(a 2:52 series) (by Zonder Kidz) its really informative, and easy to read.

Well, their daddy's were winged Cherebims. And the Angels are over 7' tall. So? The biblical giants were over 7' tall. Referring to Genesis6.

Some people are over 7' tall today even. They would be considered a giant.

1Samuel 17:4
And there went out a champion out of the camp of the Philistines, named Goliath, of Gath, whose height was six cubits and a span.

A cubit is about 18 inches (1.5 ft.)
A span is just under 1/2 cubit, or 8 inches

Goliath then, would have been 9' 8".
That's one BIG dude !
(and he had 4 brothers like him!)

Any answer to this question in terms of an actual height is peer speculation. The Bible gives no indication as to the height or size of the giants, or nephilim as they are called.

In refering to Goliath, the Bible mentions he was about 9 feet tall.

Who can know?
There are fossilized human skeletons in several museums in the USA that exceed 14 feet. There are some partial skeletons that, if complete, would be larger. This is true.
Now, if this is true, how long is a cubit? Or, how is a cubit measured?
This should cause us to think?????

At least nine feet tall. Goliath also had two brothers who were as tall as him. They were are told about in 2nd Chronicles. They were described as having six fingers on each hand and six toes on each foot.
