I think that my spirit/soul existed before I was born on this earth. Jeremiah 1:5 says that before he formed me in the womb he knew me. I also know that my spirit/soul will return to God when I die because of my faith in the Savior. This tells me that my spirit/soul will outlive my mortal body (from dust to dust) and forever benefit from this brief mortal existence.
I think it is a very true statement

Wrong. The senses can be fooled and so can people. If that quote was correct then it's not possible for there to be any such thing as accidents. Because if the quote is correct and "Either you are there or you are not there" then either you deliberately did something or you were not there. We know that there are various states of consciousness and people can do things under the influence, sleep walking daydreaming etc and these cannot be called deliberate acts.

Disagree.
We are both human, and we have a spirit.
We also have the ability to invite the Holy Spirit to reside within us.
