Normally A through C, depending on the circumstances. For example, under C we have the fact that Lexi's baby is the most beautiful baby in the world. I haven't yet seen him or even a picture of him, but I'm quite willing to believe it, even though Lexi's the only one who says so. It's sufficiently subjective and I'm just certain it's true.
Under B, we have all those historical and scientific and statistical things that I have not personally investigated, but which I believe because I have no particular reason to doubt. Generally these are where they sound plausible, they are told me by experts (in person or in writing), and there doesn't seem to be any motive for the person to lie about it.
A. Of course, this is the best. But even here, you are apparently using the civil law standard of proof: more likely than not, or perhaps by "clear and convincing" evidence. There are times when it pays to use a criminal law standard: beyond a reasonable doubt. It may be possible to doubt, but is the doubt reasonable? This is where I put things like evolution, the Big Bang, etc. Not only have I been told by experts, but I have examined the evidence to the best of my ability.
More answer than you wanted, I bet. You happened to hit upon the topic that was on my mind from this morning's forum presentation.

This is a list of how one may refer to what is.
It is also a listing of the different types of personalities that inhabit this plane of existence relative to the Apapsyche in each. The Apapsyche being the "Operational Energy of ones Soul".
The more elevated ones Apapsyche, the more one Knows of the physical plane and planes that exist that are not physical. The Whole Human Being consists of three simultaneously existing, and yet separate realms of vibrational energy... all supported by and part of the Creation. From inside out, these are: Ones Soul, including ones Apapsyche; Ones MIND realm; And ones physical body, including ones physical brain (which can only perceive its own realm of energy).
So, what one "believes" depends upon where on the Spiritual evolutionary scale ones Apapsyche resides. The more elevated ones Apapsyche, the more one "Knows" as opposed to "thinks".
What can be imagined exists, even if it exists only in imagination.
Peace

A and B for the "big ticket" beliefs (god, evolution, and in general the nature of reality), but I will admit to C being a possibility in many cases, for example the quality of a restaurant I haven't eaten at, a movie I haven't seen, or some other "new to me" product or experience.

i don't think this is a very good set of options: five of your six positions are very fuzzy.
i'd probably fall between a and b, but nearer b.
for those who can't think of an impossibility which is nonetheless true there is always the bilocation of electrons. the same electron can be in two different places at the same time. this may seem counter-intuitive, but the evidence is overwhelming.

I believe you put a lot of thought into this question.
Truth is subjective in many ways...just ask a Christian about the Muslim or Jewish "truths"...
I believe anything to be the truth which can be proven and I give everything else the benefit of the doubt until proven false.
EDIT -- Hey "Universal Pants"...how about a Platypus?

A , certainly.
B, (maybe) my "believability factor" would be based on the credentials/expertise of those who endorse the presumption of truth, in addition to trying use my personal analytical skills to draw my own conclusions and come to a decision.

I'm having a tough time getting over "B".... A is just fine but be seems to have a little wrinkle in in it. The remainder are all in the category of dollops for the dung pile.

A only, really... I'd like to see an example of something wild, ridiculous and untrue that has evidence for it.
Edit: I love the quote, Tabula, but I'm struggling to think of an example....
