the reason being the shorter the truth is the easier it would be to understand it. It is quite egocentric of you to think that this question is specifically about your religion.

What difference does it make, as long as I know the truth?
By the way, I suspect that you don't have a true question. Instead, you wish to take a slap at the Bible. So then, if this is a case, you don't have a legitimate question, but you are trying to make a statement instead. Don't you know that most people can see right through such losers? Stop trying to be smarter than the rest of us. You are not. Thank you.

A little of both really. The Bible covers about 7,000 years of human history and future plus untold millennia before man. We are told of God's purpose for the earth, why we are here. How to live the best life like an owners manual for man from God. Everything in one compact volume.
Sometimes explanations must be made. Bringing scriptures together to expand our understanding.

We are not God. You can say something very profound in one word, but then come all the questions. For instance, God is LOVE. Would you be able to leave it at that?

I think that your question is very valid.
many world religions rely on dogma as the basis of their belief.
Take the Roman church as an exaple, the pope tells them how to think.
The muslims are much the same, they too have all sorts of added books to justify their actions.
berthiau is no different, without his books he wouldn`t have the beliefs he has....!!!

Truth that is simple and succinct is not undermined by longer elucidation.
Most do not have to write anything.
