awww I feel bad for you having to have a visual of your parents, in this situation :P
I think yes it is a sin, and adultry when you think about it. You are looking at porn ( together or not) and lusting after what you see, and then you get the impure thaughts. So yes to me its very much a sin.
There is one bible verse that says that between the man and wife the bed is undefiable. But anytime you look at another person ( other than Husband or wife) in a lusty way. Then yes that is a sin!

I don't think it is a sin if you aren't lusting over one of the persons in the video. See, the whole point to religion isn't what is a sin and what isn't, that's where religion went all wrong. The question is what is in your heart when you decide to do some action. If by looking at porn she is trying to keep her husband sexually satisfied that is not wrong. Some people need more to get the juices flowing. And if she is doing this to strengthen their marriage, it is better than him not being satisfied and cheating on her. Which would cause a divorce, and be a lot worse affecting more people in a negative way than if they just watch porn.
Everyone above seems to be missing the point of religion. This is why religion actually gets a bad name by a lot of people. This guy whitehorse says "Yes, Jesus said adultery begins in the heart as we lust after someone we are not married to..." I agree buddy. But the question is does she want to be with this person in the video in either a sexual way or allow this person in the video into her heart to love while she is married? If the answer is no, which I'd bet it is, it isn't wrong or it could at least be debated.

It really doesn't matter.
Here's what's going on.... Your mom and dad are getting older and their sex drive is way down. They realize that sex is still an important part of their love life, but they need some help to get their juices flowing again. They watch some porn and then they are capable of loving eachother again like they were younsters.
If they did not watch the porn, then they probably wouldn't have a healthy sex life.
So ask your mom if the porn is important to her to maintain a healthy sex life. If she says they could have a healthy sex life without the porn, then its serving no useful purpose. Its only a sin when it leads to lust. Lust is lust, always.

it is a sin to lust after anyone but your own spouse. if you are unmarried it is a sin to lust after anyone, so yes, looking at porn is a sin, not to mention damaging to a marriage...whose to say either spouse is not looking at it when the other is not there? especially if the temptation is there to begin with. is having sex with another person okay just because your spouse may be included in the scenario? no, in the scripture by Jesus he states, and I don't know it word for word but, this is a round about way of what he said "it is told that if you have sex outside of marriage it is a sin", "but I tell you, if you have lusted after someone outside of your marriage then you have already had sex with that person" obviously in his times he said it much differently, but in today's times, thats basically what he would have been saying. your mother is taking the bible out of context and using it to her own benefit.
just so you know.....being a christian has nothing to do with what you wear :) and asking for privacy or quiet while one is praying isn't acting like a high and holy christian, its simply asking for respect, which you should give whether someone is christian or not, praying or not. maybe if you enter her room (which I was never allowed in my parents room anyway, and they weren't christian, it was just a rule, it was the only room in the house that truly solely belonged to them and it was off limits :), likewise so is mine to my child, unless there is something important of course.) and reading the bible everyday is usually a normal christian practice, its a big book, hard to understand, one chapter is a whole life lesson. however to reiterate, yes...looking at porn is a sin, no matter how you do it, nor what context you do it in.

Yes it is a sin and it grieves me that your mom is setting such a bad example for you. Pray that the Holy Spirit will convict her because she obviously is not aware that she is grieving the Holy Spirit, that is if she is really a Christian. Pornography is one of the most destructive tools the devil is using today to destroy people and especially marriages. Your mom, if she is a real Christian is like so many of us who continue to feed the desires of the flesh instead of starving them. Please tell her that one day she will regret what she is doing now because she or her husband will not be able to stop and it may lead one of them or both of them to more than they bargained for. There are millions of people hooked on porn and they can't stop. They want to but they can't because they played and toyed around with something that is extremely dangerous to the mind of any individual.

Porn is not all negative. Sex is part of life and can be good morally under proper circunstances. Pornography like any other area of life, can be presented in a positive moral way, to encourage married or very committed people to be sexual, in a safe, loving and positive way, and thus produce a stronger bond between them. Most pornography, however, does not have the best in morallity presented.

This is what Martin Luther the founding father of the reformation said about sin and marriage
QUOTE
God has appointed me for the whole Protestant faith, and I boldly vouch and declare that when you obey me you are without a doubt obeying not me but Christ Whoever does not, despises not me but Christ. I believe that we are the last trump that sounds before Christ is coming. What I teach and write remains true even though the whole world should fall to pieces over it. Whoever rejects my doctrine cannot be saved. Nobody should rise up against me. I have greater confidence in my wife and my pupils than I have in Christ, When I beheld Christ I seemed to see the Devil. I had a great aversion for Christ. I was horrified at the name of Christ, and when I regarded Him on the Cross, it was as if I had been struck by lightning; and when I heard His name mentioned, I would rather have heard the name of the Devil. I did not believe in Christ. God did mischievously blind me; God often acts like a madman God paralyses the old and blinds the young and thus remains master. I look upon God no better than a scoundrel God is stupid. Christ committed adultery with the woman at the well about whom Saint John tells us. Was not everybody saying: `What has he been doing with her?” Secondly, with Mary Magdalene, and thirdly with the woman taken in adultery whom He dismissed so lightly. Thus even Christ, who was so righteous, must have been guilty of fornication before He died. It does not matter what people do; it only matters what they believe. God does not need our actions. All He wants is that we pray to Him and thank Him. It does not matter how Christ behaved what He taught is all that matters. What does it matter whether we commit a new sin? Faith cancels all sin. No other sin exists in the world except unbelief, Sometimes it is necessary to commit some sin out of hatred and contempt for the Devil. What does it matter if we commit a sin. You must say my sins are not mine; they are not in me at all; they are the sins of another they are Christ's and are none of my business. Christianity is nothing but a continual exercise in feeling that you have no sin although you sin, but that your sins are thrown on Christ. From the moment you acknowledge that Christ bears your sins, He becomes the sinner in your place. Be a sinner, and sin boldly, but believe more boldly still. Not only men, but the Saints and Apostles must be sinners. The Saints must be good, downright sinners. The Apostles themselves were sinners, regular scoundrels…I believe that the prophets also frequently sinned grievously. You owe nothing to God except faith and confession. In everything else He lets you do whatever you like. You may do as you please, without any danger of conscience whatsoever. Marriage is an outward material thing like any other secular business. The body has nothing to do with God. In this respect one can never sin against God, but only against one's neighbor. The matrimonial duty is never performed without sin. The matrimonial act is a sin differing in nothing from adultery and fornication
The word and work of God is quite clear, women were made either to be wives or prostitutes. If your wife does not want sex, take another. It is not forbidden that a man cant have more than one wife.

porn is only wrong if featuring animals, children, violence (and no I dont mean silly spanking games i mean real violence) or if the people involved are clearly doing it against their will (not acting ie robbed of clothes at waterpistol point) therefore getting raped or if its a snuff movie where somone gets killed etc.
other then that its just sex in positions suitable for the camersa, lighting, director and asudience
