I'm beginning to feel like I have to sift through 25 answers that make no sense, have nothing to do with the question posed, are just insults to the asker or are rediculously ignorant (meaning uninformed) and based on sterotypes before I find the one or 2 that are actually thoughtful and based on factual information. How many others wish people would please READ before answering a question?

Your comment is fair. This is an open forum though, so anyone can post whatever they want to, although if it's way out of line it can be removed. I've seen lots of answers posted that are just plain wrong to factual questions. It's not uncommon for people to read only the heading of the question, rather than the detail.

One thing that also happens is people don't see the "added detail" parts of the question. Sometimes it was added after they posted their answer, but Yahoo could help here by showing the added detail, not just the original question, when you are typing in your answer.

1 the questions are to long to make a point.
2 the question goes off in to many different directions to tell what the question really is.
3 the question is one of "total common sense & people feel it did not need asking just a few thoughts from the asker.
4 some people are just plane rude it is a fact of life!

It seems that a lot people just read the initial question and ignore the details. Some people just see a word in the question and respond based on that word.

I think the reason that people don't always read the question is because people want to have one of the first answers to the question.

I just had that happen to me, I posted a question in which I really needed a logical answer. People either didn't read it or one guy didn't even understand what I was saying and started attacking me for something I didn't say! Pretty sad!

I think those people just want the two points! Also I think people like that are just lazy, ignorant and superficial in real life too!

I wish people would type in proper English and check their grammar and spelling before they post their questions. I hate when people abbreviate every single word to the point where you can't even understand their message. But yes, it is very annoying when people don't read the entire question before answering because then their answer doesn't make sense and it only answers part of the question. Mostly people just want to get points no matter what answer they give. :)

You are asking a very basic and fundamental question. Please note whether you accept or not each one is different from the another one. Level of literacy ,understanding power ,communication skills etc are at different level for each one.
When there is so much of difference you find in men ,naturally the responces from each one will also be different.
Enjoy the answers and take which is best suited for you.

Honestly...everybody needs to ignore them, dont answer their insulting random junk questions, report when they violate guidelines and just ignore. Oh and no posting questions about what they do and say or whatever....like this one...but its okay, im just saying it would work, they would get out of this section where they really just spread their disease of rude ignorance. They SHOULD start their own section, anti religon and spirituality.....or everyone in general should answer with more consideration. Even if views differ.

It would work but its SOO hard to ignore!

Depends on how long they are and how they are written.
Some are really long and so poorly written I have no clue as to what the question is. Some are a question with four paragraphs of rants.
Usually in those cases I hit the back button.

That is the only thing that is good about the thumbs down button. It hides the ridiculous so that you can just center your attention on that which matters. Best to ignore the trolls.
