For example - All atheists are evil !!

This question is not a generalisation I used the word 'some'.
The reason for my shock is that I would not expect a Christian to lie.
The example quoted has appeared in YA numerous times including today.

If I can remember
I asked a question today, and in my frustration' I said'
something on these lines Atheist coming out of the wood work,
and your reply was the nastiest reply of all of them,
I don't claim to be an holy Joe, just a normal every day' fault riddled person,
you on the other hand
came out' stating that a Christian said all Atheist are evil
are you presuming that I said that.

I've come across this quite a few times and have even watched ministers on the tv distort what is said in the Bible. I watched an interesting doc on you tube called the end which was full of misinterpretations of what is said in the Bible represented as fact, while the facts go unexamined and certain truths remain hidden or are lied about. I have come to believe that the premise of Christianity is false. That is to say the claim that Jesus is the son of God, or God is false. It's hard to support a falsehood with out lying or distorting the facts, which is what you see happening in Christianity a lot.

I'm reading a book called the Jesus Papers right now. It is so bad. He contradicts himself and makes sneaky piles of conjecture that someone with a bible could rip apart in 2 seconds, but his audience will never open a bible. This author is educated enough to know exactly what he is leaving out, yet he continues. He released the book at the same time as the de Vinci code. He's making lots of money for playing fast with the facts. He's got to be evil and I am the last person to go around saying that.

He knows exactly what he's doing. stringing along sarcastic people that want one liners at a cocktail party. He knows his audience will not research the stupid claims. He's making $$$$.

That's evil dog.

But,i thought that atheists never fought over religion. All relgions make claims that cannot be proved ,which is why faith in any religion is called belief.Without belief there is no religion. This is why you get so many very enjoyable debating societies that argue theology, constantly gaining then losing ground to the enjoyment of all. What works for the individual and gives spiritual comfort can only be a good thing. To force people to believe is a truly evil thing, whatever religion it is.

I am not shocked by anything that comes out of any human being but, you are right about this being a false claim because they forgot to include themselves. According to God all mankind is evil because we are all born into this world with an evil sinful nature.

There is a lot of "mud-slinging" going on around here. Its a natural reaction to be offended and want to hit back. Christians, until they are mature in the faith, and have their born-again spirit controlling their soul life, are as apt to respond in this "in the flesh" way, as non-christians.

Atheists often say extremely hateful things, so although you may be innocent of this particular behaviour, not all atheists are. And then of course there are trolls, just out to create offense for a bit of fun in seeing people react.

Gee...false claim...you mean such as "Jesus is the Messiah"?

Considering that the Jews invented the term "Messiah"...and do NOT accept Jesus to be the Messiah for many reasons, why do you find it surprising that followers of a religion BASED on an untruth would themselves refrain from making other false claims?

(Hmm...lets see....WWIII should kick off from that comment any second now...)

You mean why the European Pope has said all USA Protestants go to hell and that all ordained male ministers who marry normal, healthy females are evil?

Because of a lust for religious power and greed for money?

Why does anyone make false claims? Are you less shocked when atheists do it?

Some christians couldn`t even define evil. But they think it makes them sound good. A sort of christian ego trip..!!

If they are proved right and we are proved wrong in respect of god. By their own religious writings they have in fact damned themselves.

Who said christians aren`t stupid..!!
