Is the difference between Religious people and non-religious people simply that religious people are fundamental dishonest, requiring and providing no proof of their claims, having faith in simple unprovable ideas and stories, and non-religious people are basically honest and truthful, requiring evidence and accepting what is provable.

I find this matches the people I've known well. Including immediate family.

I can understand someone thinking that about Islam even though its mostly about our influence in the middle east, by why do people insisit on believing that Christianiy kills people and is responsible for all the worlds problems when Christians have lower crime rates and are less violent than everyone else? There is a public announcement commercial out right now telling all the parents that we should tell our kids to wait until marriage. The thing is I don't believe you have to, or even should wait until marriage. My religion doesn't call for it. No, I don't believe in casual sex either or that any 14 year old is emotionally ready either. So how do I as a parent strike a balance of the two when explaining this to my kids?

If incest was forbidden after the fact (Leviticus 18:6-18) when populating the planet wasn't the main ordeal, then isn't it quite possible that now, since the world is increasingly overpopulated each day, that homosexuality would be allowed and not considered an abomination? It seems that God works with nature, not against it. What are your thoughts?

or would it be more fair to say that parents are the reason. I don't expect the school to raise my kids, so why would I blame them if my children cause trouble? And what does God have to do with that? So is it a cop out to blame the removal of God?

Hello, world. That is the question of the day. No harm
intended to my fellow mormons. But your take of
religion, and Christianity is warped sided. The way you
potray things is not good. And besides Mitt Romney
is not truly the man he says he is. This could be a
complete disaster, if a mormon has his way. And try
to create a religious revolution..... Not only that, but
the mormon extremist would declare war on America.
Not good. So I wanna know, world. Would you vote
for a mormon to be president ? Best answer wins. *

I keep seeing lots of comments about the abuse of children, but it seems like mostly opinions from both sides. I want to know how widespread the abuse was. FACTS are requested.

my friends and i decided that we need to talk with God more and so we began bringing our bibles to school and doing a bible study out in the grassy area. But people come up to us and make fun of us or be sarcastic about the whole thing. I know this is what God wants me to do , but what should I do about the kids who make fun of us?

A record number of Americans in the latest ABC News/Washington Post poll support civil unions for gay couples, and most continue to favor legal abortion -- while behind those majority views sharp political and ideological divisions rage on.

Overall, 55 percent favor allowing homosexual couples to form legally recognized civil unions, giving them the same rights as married couples in areas such as health insurance, inheritance and pension coverage. That's up from 45 percent in an ABC/Post poll in 2006.

How brainwashed does Pat Robertson think his followers are?
If I were a fundy, I would be really insulted he was trying to push a progaymarriage, proabortion, antigun, propolicestate, proopenborders
Fascist on me.

What does that say about the people leading your party when they want you to back liberals like Mitt and Rudy?

Why not a REAL prolife ob/gyn doctor like Ron Paul?
