It depends on your definition of Christian.

Do you think that Mormons are Christians? Do you think tht protestants are heretics making Catholics the only true Christians? DO you count people who are believers or those who actually live by Christian principles?

The most religious is probably Utah. The most Protestant is one of those states in the Bible Belt. The most Catholic is one of those states in the Northeast -- possibly Rhode Island. If you are only counting people who live by Christian principles -- then I would choose something in the upper Midwest -- like Minnesota or one of the Dakotas.

In all respect (due or not) this is a dumb question.
How is "most Christian" defined?
The LARGEST NUMBER of Christians?
Most FANATICAL?
State most likely to make its own laws based on its religion?
Most churches per square city block?

Answer to all: Anywhere in the deep south.

Don't really have the right answer. As for churches, I have heard that the southern states tend to have more churches than the west coast and north eastern coast.
