Everything happens not only for a reason, but FOR GOOD!!
Prophet Muhammad said :Everthing that happens to a believer is good. Even a thorn that pricks him erases his sins!
What more, man is tested according to the level of his faith. The higher is faith, the more difficult will be the trial. No wonder the great prophets were severely tested.
Our Prophet also said that Allah will keep testing a person till he walks on the earth free of all sins.
Ofcourse, we are beleivers in Allah, everything He does will be for our own good.
Ofcourse, if you are involved in haram and then face the consequences, its "what your own hands have earned" (Qur'an)

Yes it is true.
God says in Quran
"that whatever good or bad happens to you is from God".
God takes His responsibility if our son gets by killed by a criminal because if God wanted He could have saved by ordering His Angeles assigned to every individuals.
But other fact that we often don't know is that God ends the life of test for those who are good people by letting them die early because God intends to send the victimized good humans to heaven.

Yes,but not all reasons are revealed to us completely.Sometimes we must take some things as it came from God as HE is the all-knowing.We can see the wisdom of bad things happens to us as a test or to get the gifts in the life after.

yeah, Allah create the rules of Reason and rationality.
Also, Allah ordered us to take with reasons.
Allah said in Surah AlRahman; "We created the earth and installed the balance". Balance means many things like gravity, physics law, chemistry and so on.
