No, Adam & Eve ate the apple from the tree of knowledge.
That tree was in the Garden of Eden. That garden has been closed to man and is guarded by angels to prevent our entry.
There is another tree there also that man was forbidden to eat from. The Tree of Life. I believe that the last chapter of Revelation indicates eating from this tree is what will eventually give us our eternal life.
God bless you and thank you for this opportunity to share with you a little of the Good News.

Yes because the Garden of Eden story was meant to be metaphorical, much like the creation myths that characterize other religions. You don't honestly believe that cats and dogs fell from the sky when grandpa was a young man, do you?

Adam and Eve were ordered not to eat from this tree by God(Allah in Islam),but we are not ordered, so it's ok.

No one knows what fruit they ate from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil.
Apples are good for you. Eat the core and seed and all. Seed has great nutrients.

It's not literal history with 21st century criteria, it's sacred history. So no need to worry!

I personally do not feel that the "fruit " was any actual fruit. I feel that the fruit was spiritual. The fruit is actually the choice that we make between good and evil.
