Am I the only one who thinks sometimes the differences between the two groups are not as great as we think? I am beginning to realize that sometimes the difference is what we think a word means. I have found myself a few times arguing with a Catholic only to realize we agree but are putting it in different words. That we see certain words a bit differently but when we get down to the basics and talk it out we mean the same thing. Am I the only one this seems to happen to?

i'm 16 years old and was raised in the church. there is no doubt i'm saved, but i've gotten bored with the whole Christian thing and have lately found myself listening and watching stuff that i normally wouldn't be and it has been affecting my thoughts and almost my speech and attitude terribly. i still go to church because i'm homeschooled and all my friends are there, and because everyone in my family has always done that, and it's what we as a family do every sunday and wednesday. i've never had a best friend in my life, and i've never opened up to anyone and just spilt everything and told everything. i have a friend now, and we like each other, but he lives with his grandma (she's looks and acts young enough to be his mom) and Mrs. Brenda has really taken a liking to me. I consider her my friend. and out of everyone i know, i want to talk to her. i don't feel like i can talk to my mom for fear of her saying things like "why would you think that", and not understanding....

Okay I don't want any religious rants, I will report you for ranting and telling me your religious beliefs. I am simply not interested in any of that.

My question...

If Satanists claim that they don't believe in "god" nor the "devil", Then why do they call themselves satanists? And why do they say they work directly with satan?

I really am curious in the subject matter, and anyone who thinks they have an answer I'm willing to listen to.

I am just asking part two because I want to see if I understand your answers and this is the easiest way I can do it.

The role you see Mary playing in salvation is two-fold. The first part is as the woman chosen to give birth to Jesus. Since she was the one who physically gave birth to Him she plays a role. She was the mother of the one who brings us salvation and part of her role was giving birth to Him.

The second part is more as a role all Christians can play. For instance if I lead a friend to Jesus and he gets saved I could be said to have a role in his salvation since I lead him to the savior. If I understand you say Mary can play a role similar to this. Not that she is the one who calls them or pricks their heart but that she can direct one to Christ.

Have I got this right? I really am trying to understand.

one of my close friends is married but is starting to fall for a guy she barely knows. She would never let this guy know because she has no future plans of leaving her husband that she loves dearly. She is never alone with this guy but he keeps telling her things that she loves to hear (knowing she is married) and it just keeps making her fall more and more in love. She would never give him the satisfaction of him knowing the effect he has on her. Another thing... he is unavoidable and she crosses paths with him daily... anyone have any advice?

On what basis? No immigration is permitted expected for persons who qualify as "jewish" according to rabbinical law. One could cite many examples of domination by orthodox jews. How is it "secular' when it's sole basis for existing is the claim in jewish scripture that "god" promised them this land?
