On what basis? No immigration is permitted expected for persons who qualify as "jewish" according to rabbinical law. One could cite many examples of domination by orthodox jews. How is it "secular' when it's sole basis for existing is the claim in jewish scripture that "god" promised them this land?

It is not a secular government. It was founded on the fundamentally racist principles outlined in Theodore Herzl's "The jewish State". Politics is dominated by the ultra-orthodox. No permanent immigration is permitted except by rabbinical authority. You must be jewish on your matrilinear side for at least three generations. You also have to speak fluent Hebrew - a very difficult language to learn - to hold public office, which automatically excludeds the few Palestinians who accepted isreali citizenship on the assumption it might make a difference in their legal status. It's a terror state that regularly engages in invasions of neighboring countries.

Actually the Israeli law of return allows anyone who has a single Jewish grandparent to immigrate.

This would include those not considered Jewish according to rabbinical law

1. Actually, immigration is permitted for everyone, regardless of religion. Citizenship is granted to everyone--the process of becoming naturalized is just streamlined for Jews.

2. And one could cite many examples of domination by Republicans in America. So?

3. Its sole basis for existing is not that God promised them the land. In fact, many Israelis won't even cite that as a reason if you ask them--moreso, they'll probably give reasons saying that there were already Jews in Israel and it was the most favorable place for a homeland, as it did not have a people.

But what does it matter, you're going to block me anyway, you only want people who agree with you to answer your question.

La ilha--generously took them in??? You're kidding me, right? The grand mufti of Jerusalem begged Hitler to come to Palestine and finish the job with the support of a large percentage of the Muslims living in Palestine at the time! Arabs were attacking Jews in Palestine long before there ever was a war to be "taken in from"--as early as 1917, before any "occupation," before any war, before anything the Arabs wanted the Jews in the sea.
