I perceive Jesus as meeting people's immediate needs and giving the glory to God, teaching of God's love and forgiveness and shining a light on the dark deeds of the wolves in sheep's clothing, while today's Christians seem to be about forcing society to conform to God's law, weeding out freeloaders, protecting their worldly goods and supporting nearly everyone who has a church. And whatever you do, don't mention the war!

As a muslim being constantly asked on here "why do we not eat pork", In a variety of mocking, ridicule or genuine curious questions. God says we have not too eat it, its not good for our health so we dont. Today the World Cancer Recearch Fund published a report which stated that meats such as Bacon, ham and salami carries such a high risk of bowl cancer that they should be avoided ALTOGETHER scientists have warned.
Proof enough yet? Just asking?

Doesn't there have to be a purgatory? i mean how many of us die having 0 sin......very few. and if we had sin God wouldnt say "here's the pearly gates come in."...He would probably say" woah woah...u can't bring sin into a perfect place." Dont you think you need to be cleansed of ALL your sins before entering heaven? Peace

There's a video posted on the front page of Yahoo today talking about the recent wiccan lotto winner who is building a school. For those of you who watched, what did you think?

Personally, I think it is a wonderful idea, especially since they aim to teach many forms of belief and magic.

On the other hand, I thought that the fact that the video called Mr. Bartlett's school a "Real-life Hogwarts" was slightly offensive. Real witchcraft has little to do with Harry Potter and calling his school a "Real-life Hogwarts" makes a mockery of it.

Surely when the so-called flood came how come only Noah and his family survived with their boat, didnt anyone else have a boat or canoe, or even a raft, couldnt someone have even clung onto a log for a week? I mean c'mon.. people have lived that long in the ocean when they have fallen off a ship, the bible really has a lot of fairytales in it hey? It just doesnt make sense.

In Genesis Chapter one God said........
"Let Us make man in Our image, according to Our likeness; let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, over the birds of the air, and over the cattle, over all the earth and over every creeping thing that creeps on the earth."

Now the interesting thing that I found was that God used the word "us" so he was speaking in a plural form. Now being Christian it seems like it would mean God the Father, Son and Holy Spirit. Since Jews and Muslims believe in just One God not the son or the holy spirit. Why do they believe God would say "us".
No one would say to themselves let us go to the store....it wouldnt make sense. anyways..... Peace =)

I am interested in finding others who have also been given this special gift. I would like to understand more of why I was given this gift. From my readings, they say there is a connection to divine love. During the near-death experience, I went to the light and experienced a love so great one here on Earth could not imagine such a great love unless they also had a near-death experience. I have also found that miracles seem to be happening. I did not realize that when I went to the hospital after the near-death experience what kind of sign language I was doing. One of the nurses on the floor with unique features said to me: "Oh, you're doing the sign language mudra." Later when I saw the same nurse at her desk, I said that I wanted to learn more about the mudra. She responded that she had never talked to me about them. I have also found that I can do some automatic writing when I ask a question and hold a pen loosely, letters will be formed making words. They often are blessings.

I believe that God wants us all to have peace in our lives, but there are people out there who test our spirits. The world is full of cold, mean-hearted and unhappy people. As the saying goes, kill them with kindness...has anyone stuck to this belief and if so can you share your experiences.

having both places make God just. i mean if you followed him your whole life while someone cursed him and lived a selfish life. does he deserve heaven. Plus some people hate God period and dont want to be around him.
