Paradise exists in the Bible. Hell aka Hades is the place of the dead. The dead know nothing. This is Biblical. The ones who are not going to be in Paradise do have to pay a penalty, they cease to exist. Destroyed and not allowed to enjoy paradise. They also will feel every sin they committed and the pain it caused before their destruction. God is Just, He just isn't cruel. Besides, how could a loving God enjoy paradise with His followers if he knew that some of those He loves were suffering for all eternity? Just because someone does not choose to come to him, doesn't mean He doesn't love them. He loves us all and wants all of us to be in paradise with him!

Some believe in Heaven and not hell because they are wishful thinkers!! Look, God made the Heavens and Earth, Light and Dark, Hot and Cold, so why would there not be a Hell? Again, all is not revealed to us here and now...which is what faith is all about. Pray for those who don't believe! Those who don't believe don't for many reasons, for example, it was shoved down there throats growing up, or the were taught lie like I was in Catholic school, or CCD, or some never were taught to understand the Bible or any religion, some are just not will to give up the carnal here for the eternal there, maybe they prayed a serious prayer that was not answered the way they wanted it to and lost faith...and many many more reason. Keep searching...it will only bring you closer to God and you will be blessed abundantly!
Peace Bro ; )

Well, heaven, in a Godly sense, must be. Why would God have a salvation plan for us if there were no paradise for us to get to and live in commune with each other and with God.
Hell, is a trickier concept. Hell is, at it's most basic level, separation from God, eternally. Some think that is a fiery place of eternal torment; others think it is the grave. What is really important is that we all realize that separation from God, whatever that means, is a terrible thing. Whether we burn for eternity for our unforgiven sin, or are faced, at the human resurrection, with eternal return to nothingness in the grave and separation from the glory we will only briefly witness, it is a horrible fate. Loving God and accepting his eternal salvation bears wondrous fruits and rewards. And it costs very little, beyond us surrendering our pride and asking forgiveness.

I dont know why people dont believe in both. I mean if you believe the bible to be true as far as Heaven is concerned and that Jesus saved us from eternal damnation then I would think they would believe in Hell as well. I guess what it boils down to is there are so many different beliefs, but one thing is for sure being a Christian, If you believe in Heaven I would think you should also believe in Hell. Maybe they just dont want to believe in a hell(its better that way for them)???
Good question, I can only imagine some answers you are going to get.

"i mean if you followed him your whole life while someone cursed him and lived a selfish life. does he deserve heaven."
Maybe not, but NO crime or crimes deserves a punishment of fiery torture for all eternity.
"Plus some people hate God period and dont want to be around him."
Dude, if the Christian god did exist and the Bible is anything to go by, you wouldn't want to be around him either.

In the following example, I use the word "kingdom" to represent any ruling authority, whether it is a country, a nation, a democracy, or whatever.
The way I look at it, there are two kingdoms, the kingdom in which God reigns, and the kingdom in which God does NOT reign.
Like any choice of kingdoms, if one chooses to live under the authority of a kingdom, then they are also given the benefits that come with that submission.
On the other hand, if one choose to NOT live under the authority of that kingdom, then they lose the benefits and priviledges that go along with submitting to that authority.
Now, the benefits of living under GOD'S authority include first, "all good things", because "ALL good things come from God." Furthermore, there is "love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, temperance, meekness and faith" (note especially the love, joy and peace). Among other things that are "good" include light, freedom from pain, friends, and hope.
All these things are benefits from living under God's authority.
Choosing to live OUTSIDE of God's authority means one is giving up all these benefits. Again, that means no love, no joy, no peace, no light (total and absolute darkness!), NO freedom from pain, NO friends, and NO HOPE!!! (Imagine eternity with no hope!!!).
This other kingdom is referred to as the "kingdom of the Self", but ultimately, it is called "hell".

you will find that people live for hope as a rule.
not all, some look for that next rock to fall on them like the depressed robot Marvin in hitch hikers guide to the galaxy.
heaven represents a place of rest, hope and something better.
Hell is unpleasant and honestly, who wants to consider that. The atheist wager, hope god finds some reason to let you in is flimsey at best and non-responsible.

look at today's attitude toward hell... people are no longer intimidated by the church threat.... because it's no longer effective the devil had to stick to the bribery of the illusion of heaven to keep the money and bodies flowing through his religions.... he's now so desperate he lets anybody beleive what they want about heaven... how many virgins you want up there... you've got it... how puritan? you got it.. the thing is as there is no life after death the devil never has to pay up....

Most people have a hard time thinking of themselves as sinners.....they think they live a good life and are good people....until you ask them if they have ever lied,,ever stole,,ever wanted something that belongs to someone else,,,,ever over ate......Once they can accept the fact that they are sinners,,,only then can they admit they may deserve Hell....

As I look around at what is going on in the world I tend to agree with my Grandma. She didn't believe in Hell. She said we are living in hell here on earth. She did believe in Heaven as do I.
