I went to my mothers (yes I did) along with my daughters. My sister and her friend were there, and my brother was there too. We had a nice dinner together and lots of laughs, and .... right on schedule.... came the first knock at the door at 6:30pm. Our first trick or treater..... There were 3 of them... O so cute!
One was a leopard, on a princess, and one was Shrek, ALL were less than 5 years old and so adorable we wanted to eat them up....
the rest of the night went from there....

We gave out chocolate treats including fudge candies which were wrapped to look like eyeballs, ears, toes, fingers, and lips... and for every kid, my mom would say "o Here you can have an eyeball" or "here's an ear for you"....
It got to be so funny after awhile, I commented that the girls would be telling their own children about the crazy halloween gramma they had.... LOL

happy day ((((((auntie))))))) and (((((((uncle)))))))
did anyone get past your wall for some treats tonight??

I am not..Do not get me wrong,I love Halloween though! At my school/college it is a big deal.I went to get my food since I am on the meal plan and they had the whole cafeteria decked out in Halloween decorations, had fresh to order caramel apples, small cupcakes that each decorates with the choice of toppings and food like enchiladas, tacos, burritos, quesadillas..Also on different parts of the campus there are various parties at sororities, fraternities, etc..I am eating caramel apples, decorating cupcakes, enjoying hot cocoa, going to a small party, having some brisket and then finishing some homework for the upcoming week..

I'm not doing anything. I don't celebrate Halloween. The apartment manager sent a flier along with the newsletter today giving out a sign that participants put on their doors. So I didn't put my sign up. I was going to buy some popcorn today and just kick back and watch one of my old videos and what did I forget while at the store, the popcorn. Oh well!

The youngest one in our household is trick-or-treating (accompanied by her mommy) dressed up as Cinderella.

The oldest one in our household, the princess' Grandpa, was persuaded not to dress in full hunting gear (plus face mask) and carry a small chain saw, so as not to scare the sweet little ones. He's waiting for the teenagers.

I'm handing out treats to the tricksters, assisted by an elderly dachshund who wants a doggy treat for himself every time someone comes to the door.

All in all, a fun night.

Hi, my youngest son, 13, went trick-or-treating with some of his friends and my two older sons and I went to see the movie "Nightmare Before Christmas" in 3D at the theater.

Mom took the kids out, lots of candy, rather windy, back home in 90 minutes.

Dad stayed home this year - he has a very bad cough.

A good meal and settling down for the night. We live in the country so no trick-or-treaters here. I did bring some sweets home for my sweet however.

Ate dinner and watched the classic Halloween ghost story "Poltergeist" . Hadn't seen it in years and enjoyed it again.
