Yep. You're not the first person on R&S or elsewhere in the world to notice that. Kind of a shame, isn't it? That simple command Jesus gave us "Love one another" and we can't even seem to scratch the surface...

I understand what you are saying. But just because someone says they are a Christian, doesn't mean they are one.
CHRISTian = A follower of Christ.
He and his Father are the ones that determines who is a true Christian. And the guidelines are found in the scriptures.
John 13:34,35 Love among themselves
John 17:16 Neutral to the worlds conflicts
Matt 28:19,20 Preaching and teaching to others about...
Matthew 24:14 God's government

We all should be laying treasures in heaven.....doing what is right on this earth, we will receive rewards at the judgment. Some won't have any rewards but just make it as escaping hell fire.....
But let's not worry about the guy next to us, if he is not living up to his calling he will not have an jewels in his crown or get to rule with Jesus in the 1000 year reign of Christ on earth.....let's just do what we can for the Kingdom of Jesus here on this earth.....Love, live a pure life and witness, be kind, long suffering, all the things Jesus talked about....

Are all christians hypocrites? Are all muslims terrorists?
I think there are a lot of 'smorgasbord' people out there regardless of what religion they claim. They accept some of this and some of that because it appeals to them, and ignore the parts that are not appealing.... just like eating at a smorgasbord (buffet). People who are genuine in their faith take it all as one package - even the parts that may cause personal sacrifice or hardship for them.

It all depends on where you live and what church you belong to .....I see good Christian people,,trying to do the best they can,,in a world that hates most of what they stand for....I see bad behavior in those who are not committed to following Christ but following a preacher...who they treat like a rock star....that happens but it is not the norm..at least not where I live....I am a small town girl.

certainly.
i think it's because christians are not trying to be like jesus, or practice what he preached. if they did, they would be jewish and practice judaism. instead, they deified the man and worship him. that is never what jesus intended, and has led them far astray.
the OT warns against treating any human as if he's god, and we can see the violent consequences of doing so.

I do see a huge difference between people who say they follow Jesus and the people who really do follow Jesus.

Yes.
If Christians could manage to act as their god told them to, the world would be a much nicer place.
