Has anyone ever said to you "You have offended me"?

If yes, what was the subject matter?

lol Boy, that one tears me a new one. I hear it all the time and it's usually about my personal beliefs. I have never once in my life told someone they offended me. I thought as adults we were above that.
Happy Halloween, Uncle Wayne!

If I don't offend someone every day I don't feel like I've really lived! Offending someone gives me a high. It's like a drug. If I don't run into anybody during the day to offend (sometimes I don't see people for days and days at a time because I live out in the country, in the middle of nowhere....), then I make sure I offend someone here, on Yahoo Answers! People here are so easily offended. It's a pleasure. It's like a turkey shoot.

I agree with Mike M, it depends on the number of F words. How something is said changes the meaning.

Many times it hurts, but I always prefer to hear the truth. If a person seems willing to hear the truth, I will tell them things that may offend them, though I try to be kind in doing so. Let truth prevail. I also believe one should not confront unless one cares, which presupposes an attitude without F words.

i'm sure it is to somebody...

hmm...no one has ever said that to me. either they just didn't want to say anything, or they were afraid of my reaction, or i've never offended anyone...lol i doubt very much if it's the third one.

i don't offend easily, but i have been offended on someone else's behalf before.

i have a good friend who is one of the nicest people i know, but her family doesn't appreciate her. i get angry about that sometimes.

oh, well. we do what we can, and try to keep silent about the rest.

bright blessings and ((hugs)) to you.

edit
apparently i did offend someone...my question about the thumbs down fairy just got deleted. i will never know how this offended them because they will not just email me and say "oh, that offended me...please don't do that." silly people...

I get a little "hot" under the collar sometimes when someone asks me a question about a specific topic and then gets "offended" that I gave them a factual and honest answer. I get offended easily at others non-stop and willful ignorance.

Yes, it offends me that I offended you because something you said to me offended me three nights ago after I offended you or whatever. Tee hee. No, sometimes I offend people and I'm glad when they tell me so I can apologize.

No. If I offend someone, I want to know (and I usually know, no need for anyone to tell me), so I can apologize. It's good to be able to talk about how we and others feel, and to fix what we did wrong :)

No, it shouldn't be offensive. yes, it happen with my daughter. I was actually trying to teach my daughter how to cook and she gets mad when she makes mistakes so I told her that "she will never learn" (lol) and she told me that I offended her. Wasn't I just telling her the truth. Of course, I apologize!

Depends on the number of F words they use when they tell you.

I was told I was offensive here on Yahoo Answers today! It cost me like 15 points! I need a best answer to get them back...

Letting someone know you're offended by something they said seemingly gives them the upper hand and power over your emotions. Noone will have that kind of power over me. I won't allow it.
