I know that God spoke to Moses to come back up the mountain where the 10 commandments were written and that He would show him His hinderparts, apparently his back side. When Moses came down from the Mountain his whole face shown.

I just copied and pasted that statement from another question. I have seen this quoted much lately. This is not talking about the general meaning of the word "catholic" which means "universal", this is talking about the Catholic religion. In your opinion, is that a true statement or a false one? Please state why and tell your religion. No hate answers toward Catholics, please.

often i hear people talk about how life is so improbable that it couldn't have been created by random chance, therefore it must have a creator. so i thought about asking this question to see how well most people understand probability. it's pretty simple. let's say you flip a coin 10 times, one at a time. let H represent heads and T represent tails. which event is more probable?
if the coins land in the following order:
HHHHHHHHHH
or
HTTHHHTTHH?
for the second event to occur, the first toss must result in H, the second T, the third T, and so on. got it?

For the time being, ignore the fact that the Biblical gods themselves share a lot of attributes with a lot of other regional gods from Egyptian and Greek culture.

Many modern readers don't understand the 17th century Old English which the King James version of the Bible was translated into. The more modern translations also tend to water-down these passages which are less than pleasing and alter the original intent of the authors of the Bible. For example, Ezekiel 23:20 speaks of a whore who lusts after men who have penises as big as donkeys and who ejaculate as much as horses.

The original King James translation says it this way: "whose flesh is as the flesh of asses, and whose issue is like the issue of horses."

And the Revised Standard Version puts it like this:
"whose members were like those of asses, and whose issue was like that of horses."

The Good News Bible translation completely removes the reference to the sexual organs and discharges of these animals, calling it merely "lustfulness" as follows:

"She was filled with lust for oversexed men who had all the lustfulness of donkeys or stallions."

Assume a person could be born in a remote area with no social interaction, (alone)
{or even with unknowing others}
their life is basic, sleep and eat. They have no possible way of being taught about god. they are existing none the less and will die
are they sent to hell for not obeying rules which they never even had a chance to be given?

likewise
mankind prior to religion
and
mentally handicap who can't comprehend these rules

why should one be punished if they are not given a fair chance due to their environment, time of existence, or lack of ability to understand.
if they are not punished, would it then be better not to learn the rules of god since acquiring them forces you to follow them

There are many opposing views in this world, many of which offend individuals who hold the opposite view. Does anyone have the right not to be offended?
Religions use the law to stop people offending them. Yet I find religion offensive in itself. What is my recourse?

For christians, when did sin and death enter the world, when man disobeyed God, or after millions of years of evolution in which case it had nothing to do with man

If so

then for God to say, man may no longer reside with us in paradise, and he may no longer see the face of God for his sin,

This would make God a liar if sin and death has always been on the face of the earth before man showed up

If there is no Genesis, then why do men die
God said we die as result of sin
Xhrist was sent to free us from sin
If there is no genesis account, then that makes God a liar, sin is not due to man, sin and death were always here, and man had nothing to do with it.
So why bother about being resssurected to return to the glory of God, since we were never meant to be there since Genesis never took place?
again this is for christians and catholics who choose to beleive the pope when he says there is no gensis account
if not, then when did sin and death enter the world?

and why do men die?

this question is for muslims and christians who actually believe in that rubbish...if your daughter came to you pregnant, saying that she saw an angel who gave her a message that she would become pregnant without sex, to test the faith of those around her, would you believe her or think shes a liar?

What is the act, the verb, of prayer? When you pray, you are presumebly talking to God. Are you asking for things, help, strength? Is it a conversation with God, i.e. do you feel God responds? Is it a request? Do you ask for something supernatural (i.e. something outside yourself) to affect your life, to give you some thing in the material world, either comfort or something material that you feel you lack? Or is it more a "communing" with God, i.e. "centering" or calming yourself through a connection with the devine? Is it asking God to affect the world, or a way of assuring yourself as to a devine plan, or some other such communication with God?

When one prays, one assumes God is outside themselves...is it then asking God which you percieve to be outside of you to affect the world as you percieve it?

I hope this was respectful enough, as I genuinely am curious. Atheists be kind, this is an honest question; let them respond.

Ive realised if you ask god for a miracle sometimes it doesnt work or in my case never!
I prayed last night for him to take my depression away but nothing happened.
Ive realised that you have to do things yourself and god urges you to do this therefore you will feel better?
Im 14 with allot of worries and its true in the past when ive wanted something i turn to god, i never pray but only ask him for things.
I believe in god my family arnt really the religious type neither am i, but what are youre thoughts on miracles?
