Has anyone heard of a biblical prophecy about an Eagle and a Bear having a final war?

I had someone telling me that during the cold war. I wonder if its still out there or if we have reinterpreted it.

I'm sure it came from an interpretation of Daniel Chapter 7 based on current events at the time. The U.S. was in a cold war with Russia and nuclear disaster was always on people's minds. Many people still look at Daniel 7 and see Russia and the U.S. as two of the four beasts although others do have different interpretations. Even now, scholars search the scriptures and try to explain what is taking place and about to occur based on prophecies like Daniel's.

I find it interesting that the current situation seems to be one where the U.S. and Israel are working together to try and fulfill the prophesied kingdom reign or millenial reign ( see Millenium Challenge Corporation) and in working to fulfill those prophecies themselves, they would seem to be fulfilling a completely different set of prophecies.

The Eagle represents the Roman empire. The Bear represents Persia (Iran) . This sounds almost like the Apocryphal II Esdras.
The Roman Empire will be reconstituted by the Anti Christ.

the point is,

this is why i cant vote for creationists and would sooner vote for someone i disagreed with on *everything* who wasn't a creationist

the person who dislikes evolution cause it isn't right with the bible is the same mentality who would say i deny the foriegn policy advice that china or whatever russia whatever country isn't wanting war,
and ignores reality for the "bible" or translation or interpretation of some priest or minister or tv person

The eagle has been the representative of germany and the usa and others, the bear like in chicago, california, blah blah, many applications on those are possible, ussr the bear!
