God does things in his time, not yours. just because you ask for something doesn't mean it will happen the way you want. God taking your depression away might be manifested some other way. don't stop believing. walk by faith, not by sight. Once you turn your worries over to Him, leave them there. Don't dwell on it.

Just because you prayed for something does not mean it will happen. Sometimes God has a better plan for us that we may not understand. Jesus asked God three times not to die, but look at what Jesus says, "not my will, but yours", Matthew 26:39. Paul also had a similar problem with a burning pain in his side. He prayed for a long time, but it did not go away, but Paul found a use for it, 2 Corinthians 12:7-10. Don't stop praying though. Check out Luke 18:1-8. Perhaps God is delaying to see if you are serious or not.

You can confide in god but going to him only when you need something isn't the way to go.
God doesn't answer your prayers with miracles. You can't ask god to show you a sign. You can pray and confide to him what it is that's bothering you. But don't look for miracles.
Check your lifestyle. What is making you depressed. Is the main source of depression stemming from living a non christian lifestyle? Drugs, alcohol, sexual,etc..
I would suggest seeing a Dr about your depression. There is medication that works great to treat it. Pray everyday and try to live the best christian lifestyle you can. The miracle is when you live each day for Jesus that these "miracles" or your questions will be answered.

Do you realize that if you ask God for a miracle and it doesn't occur, it's the same result as if God didn't exist in the first place?
'Miracles' are supposidily the impossible, but when real, very possible things happen, people label it a miracle and 'thank god'.
I would recommend putting your energy in making our own things happen. In the 2007 years since the 'birth of christ' there has never been an actual incident involving god that would suggest proof. That's why the devout call it 'faith' because faith is what comes out of a belief in something without proof and very often, not even real.
Lastly, for most people, your entire religious beliefs are circumstantial. If your parents were Hindu, then whatever you believe at this moment, you would think are absurd in another. Same with Jewish, Muslim, Budha, everything.
I know some people are ok being religious by default, but you will see that you can make your own 'miracles'

God isn't a vending machine, sweetie. He isn't there just to give us what we want. The Bible says in James, "Ye ask, and receive not, because ye ask amiss, that ye may consume it upon your lusts." That means that, if you are asking God just for the stuff you want so you can have whatever you want, He isn't going to answer. Motives are important.
Also....I would urge you to find yourself a King James Bible (and a dictionary if you need a hand with some of the older words....I have one just for that purpose!). Start reading in the book of John. If you really want to turn to God this is how you start. Because the only thing that will really help you is if you put your faith in Jesus. Give Him your heart. He will save you from your sins and give you the peace you need. Take all your worries to Him and ask for the wisdom to get through.
As for miracles....I've seen a few answers to prayer that could, I suppose, be considered small miracles. God doesn't just hand them out like candy though....He doesn't work like that He answers in the way that is best for you and sometimes that answer is a "no".
Don't let this experience make you bitter, please! That would be a huge mistake. Start searching for God - get a Bible and start reading it. He wants you to find Him, I promise!

Some miracles are slow acting... like the life of Jesus... it was 33.5 yrs from start to finish and it had miracles through out. Healing can be slow... the fact you have prayed is a start. Sunrise does not happen in a split second it takes a few minutes, yet you start to see the signs long before the sun actually appears. It is the same with some miracles!!!

Jesus led you to post this question for more reasons than you may even realize yourself. Last night you prayed and ask Him to take your depression away, but nothing happened you said. Oh, but it did! In that still small voice of His, He directed you to turn to other people who believe in Him for encouragement. That, dear one, IS a miracle! When you read your answers by other Christians, God's Spirit will speak to you through these answers, and you will begin to feel all is not hopeless.
Are you listening to music that is not glorifying Jesus Christ? If so, then you need to stop listening to it. Are you hanging out with friends who have bad habits such as using the Lord's name in vain? If so, you need to pick different friends.
I will pray for you tonight, that His Holy Spirit bring peace and comfort to you in these troubled times, and that you come to know Him in a personal way as someone you can have a relationship with. God bless you!!!

Don't give up honey, God has heard your prayers and He already knew before you even prayed. I pray that you will turn your heart and soul over to Jesus Christ. Repent of your sins, confess that you believe He is your salvation (only if you truly believe this) and He will wash your sins away. I truly believe God is calling you toward Him to be saved. Attend a church that preaches the gospel from a King James Bible and get involved. You will feel that joy in your heart and you will want others to know. God answers prayers in His time only. You may be in this deep valley because it is going to pull you closer to the one you need in your life which is Jesus Christ. We must go through trials and tribulations in order to become humble and realize that God is all we have to rely on. Everyone has to get to that point where we know God is all we truly have. Then you will have that true joy in your heart! God can take your depression! Have that faith in God!!! With God ALL things are possible!!!! God will bless you!!!

It doesn't work that way. God will answer your prayer, but in his own time and his own way. Miracles do happen around us all the time, but we are usually too busy worrying about our own problems to notice. Meanwhile, you've admitted to yourself and to God that you have a problem. Maybe it's time to take the next step and talk to your parents or a teacher/counselor about your depression. There's help all around us if we're just willing to reach out and take it. God does a lot of his work through the people around us, let them know that you need help and help will be there somewhere.

These verses from the Bible should be helpful to you if you are born again:
Philippians 4:6,7 Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your request be made known to God; and the peace of God, which passes all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus.
Philippians 4:8 Finally, brethren, whatever things are true, whatever things are noble, whatever things are just, whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely, whatever things are of good report, if there is any virtue and if there is anything praiseworthy – meditate on these things.
Romans 15:33 Now the God of peace be with you all. Amen
