For christians, when did sin and death enter the world, when man disobeyed God, or after millions of years of evolution in which case it had nothing to do with man

If so

then for God to say, man may no longer reside with us in paradise, and he may no longer see the face of God for his sin,

This would make God a liar if sin and death has always been on the face of the earth before man showed up

If there is no Genesis, then why do men die
God said we die as result of sin
Xhrist was sent to free us from sin
If there is no genesis account, then that makes God a liar, sin is not due to man, sin and death were always here, and man had nothing to do with it.
So why bother about being resssurected to return to the glory of God, since we were never meant to be there since Genesis never took place?
again this is for christians and catholics who choose to beleive the pope when he says there is no gensis account
if not, then when did sin and death enter the world?

and why do men die?

You realize that most biblical scholars consider the story of Genesis an Allegorical Myth and not fact, right?

we die because we are mortal, just like all life.

See, once you start denying part of the Bible, you start denying more and more. Isn't that exactly what the Serpent did when he beguiled Eve in the Garden---isn't that exactly what the Genesis story is about? "God really didn't say that, and if He did, He really didn't mean it....."

I choose to believe the Genesis account exactly as it is written. You can nit-pick and analyze it to death all you want to, but God is God and if He says that's how it happened, who do we think we are to second-guess it?

"Let God be true and every man a liar..." Romans 3:4

Although your question and comments are a bit hard to follow, I certainly agree with you.

Sin and death came into the world through the disobedience of Adam.

To abandon the clear teaching from the book of Genesis - specifically the creation of man and the fall of man in the garden of Eden - is to invite absolute confusion and chaos into our lives. And that is what has happened. The father we get away from the Genesis account, the farther we get away from the foundations of a stable society.

When we abandon the Bible, we invite trouble.

Death is a natural occurance. There never was a time that life existed without death existing also.

Sin is just a product of the imagination of man.

Death is the natural consequence of being alive, all animals do it, not just humans.

Sin is a construct of religion and therefore, except where it is morality, it is just a control tool.

You see - once you accept the bible (as with ALL religions) as a book of myth then so much falls into place. That is why so many sensible religious thinkers are declaring them as so.

"Sin" entered the world when men invented the word to use as a means of control.

Death? You are not seriously asking that are you?

People die because of disease, predators, and the human body simply dieing.
