I've done something really bad, and I don't want to go to Hell. Can you tell me which God is the real God of the thousands of different religions out there? I need to pray and give him money so I can get into heaven, thanks!

I have no animosity towards Catholics. I just have always wondered why their identity as a Catholic seems to take precedence over the fact that they are first-and-foremost a Christian. For example, I recently saw a web site that said "How to become a Catholic". Isn't becoming a Christian the more over-arching goal?

This is old news to those in the know but here is a recent article covering the widespread death caused by the Catholic belief that using condons is wrong.

This is a perfect example of how bad beliefs can cause horrible consequences. It is also a perfect example of how so so-called "moral beliefs" can actually be horribly immoral, causing extreme suffering rather than doing good.

Here are the 9 core beliefs of Satanism represents:

-Indulgence, not abstinence.
-Vital existence, not spiritual pipe dreams.
-Undefiled wisdom, not hypocritical self-deceit.
-Kindness to those deserving of it, not love wasted on ingrates.
-Vengeance, not turning the other cheek.
-Responsibility to the responsible, instead of concern for psychic vampires.
-Man as just another animal - the most vicious of all.
-Gratification of all ones desires.
-The best friend that the Christian Church has had as he has kept it in business for centuries.

Here are the sins under Satanism:
Stupidity
Pretentiousness
Solipsism
Self-deceit
Herd conformity
Lack of perspective
Forgetfulness of past orthodoxies
Counterproductive pride
Lack of aesthetics

At the very least, an interesting religion.

Is it the Catholic Church?

Is it the population that takes their direction from people in "leadership"?

I was reading the bible last night and one thing was nagging at me.. Where did all these other people come from when the world started with just Adam and Eve? After Cain and Able, Cain married and had a family. His brother (Seth I think it was) found a wife and they had a family.. where did all these new people come from? Also, how were people in the first book of the bible live for 600 years?

I asked a previous question about calling Catholic Priests "Father". Many answers seemed to suggest that he was warning against the pharisees. While I understand that our Priests and Papacy can be traced back to Peter and the apostles, do not the recent scandals in our church prove that our Priests can also been imperfect humans that should not be looked upon as "fathers".

as if they should all be lumped together? It seems to me that people of the Christian (or any other, for that matter) faith must, at least, be divided into two categories. The first, which I'll call them the "normals," use the bible and religious belief as a source of strength and inspiration as a opposed to the dogmatic truth. The normals have various degrees of religious faith, but respect others for their faith (or lack thereof), and strongly believe in separation of church and state. They believe in the importance of the here and now, rather than dwell on the after-life.

Compare this to the second group, which I'll call the "crazies." If you don't believe in what they do, you're condemned to an eternity of torment in hell. The bible is not only the spiritual truth, but the scientific one as well. Science itself is the "devil's tool" when it contradicts the bible, and they're far more concerned about the after-life than the here-and-now.

Accurate?

When I think of what many 13-16 year olds think they know about human biology it makes me cringe, for instance "you can't get pregnant if..."
u are on top
you're on your period
wait, if you're NOT on your period
he pulls out
you douche with coca-cola

How can some of you people who HAVE to know some 14 year olds, possibly think that they are capable of being parents? Or that they know everything there is to know about sex/pregnancy and willfully choose to ignore it? I'm talking in GENERAL. I'm sure many of you will say "Well MY daughter is 12 and knows EVERYTHING about pregnancy" great... I'm talking about generalities, the majority of 13-16 year old girls have many misconceptions about pregnancy.

Plus studies show us that teenagers simply have not developed an adult concept of consequences. This is partly why when YOU all did STUPID CRAP AS A KID!!! Now that you are older, would you skateboard off a roof? Or drive your truck into the surf?

The UN is saying that the Catholic condom ban is helping AIDS spread in poor countries with large catholic populations. To me, it seems that some liability should be placed upon the people on one hand, but the on the other hand people are going to be people and the encouragement of this no condom policy by something as powerful as the RCC should in some ways make the RCC responsible for the health care of the infected.

Kind of a tricky problem. Thoughts?

If so, then I will never be a Christian. There is no forgiveness for a person that kills people, including innocent children.

many christians deny evolution but none seem to deny the existance of dna. on earth christ had the body of a complete human male. since he was a man he therefore must have had testicles that contained sperm that contained dna. also christ must have had dna in order for cell generation.
that would mean christ could reproduce with a woman if he had choosen to and the kids would have been 50% christ. what do christians think about this idea?
