Thanks. I needed a good laugh today. I'm sick of that tired argument as well.

We already tried that idea. It was called Iridium, and it was a network of 66 low Earth orbit satellites. It failed because the network infrastructure was too expensive to build and operate. To support the number of users out there, that network would require bandwidth that is simply not available. And what investor(s) is willing to make a bet on something that didn't work 15 years ago? It would take DECADES to pay off the investment, esp if you had to compete w/ terrestrial cellular in terms of price. Dream on...

Evolution requires an animate object with life. So are you saying that phones as inanimate objects have life too?
Evolution happens when two entities of the same species recreate and have an offspring. Are you saying that phones recreate and have offspring?
The last time I looked, phones were manufactured in factories by humans. Humans engineer and design them. We design features and functions in them, they don't do it themselves and evolve.
Happy Evolving.

Check your facts. I asked 20 people in the street what kind of phone they had, and they were ALL cellphones.
I conclude that ordinary telephones have gone extinct. QED
