When I think of what many 13-16 year olds think they know about human biology it makes me cringe, for instance "you can't get pregnant if..."
u are on top
you're on your period
wait, if you're NOT on your period
he pulls out
you douche with coca-cola
How can some of you people who HAVE to know some 14 year olds, possibly think that they are capable of being parents? Or that they know everything there is to know about sex/pregnancy and willfully choose to ignore it? I'm talking in GENERAL. I'm sure many of you will say "Well MY daughter is 12 and knows EVERYTHING about pregnancy" great... I'm talking about generalities, the majority of 13-16 year old girls have many misconceptions about pregnancy.
Plus studies show us that teenagers simply have not developed an adult concept of consequences. This is partly why when YOU all did STUPID CRAP AS A KID!!! Now that you are older, would you skateboard off a roof? Or drive your truck into the surf?

And I mean even if you never did ut b4 so you could have learned your lesson. I never played mailbox baseball or set off firecrackers in my hand, but have no interest in being an idiot now that i'm older.
Children are simply incapable of seeing their mortality as adults are.

And I';m not saying that ll of this justifies abortion, I;m simply saying that that argument "They are old enough to have sex, they are old enough to deal with the consequences" is so ridiculous, that you should be embarrassed to even use it.

Searcher!! nice comeback! That's a good point. Part of the ability to deal with a procedure like an abortion is how the whole thing is presented to the child. If it;s presented as a murder but a necessary one as opposed to a simple medical procedure, I'm sure recovery will be much more difficult.
And I still would rather my 14 yr old go to therapy for dealing with an abortion than raise a child for the next 18-25 years.
