If so, then I will never be a Christian. There is no forgiveness for a person that kills people, including innocent children.

Adolf, in his own words in private and in public, and in his personal letters, insisted over and over that he believed that his actions were approved by God. He believed in God and Jesus...regardless of how twisted his vision of them was. Therefore, according to Christian doctrine, he goes to heaven. As long as he abased himself before God and worshipped his almighty ego, Hitler had a "Get Out of Jail Free" card. Meanwhile, his victims all went to a place supposedly worse than the camps where their lives ended.

Sick? Yes. Christian? That too.

No. Jesus said, "You will know them by their fruits" [whether or not they are true Christians]. Hitler killed over 6 million people. Christians don't do things like that. Having your picture taken in front of a Catholic Church doesn't make you a Christian any more than going into the garage makes you a car. Not to mention, Hitler committed suicide, to avoid punishment. That also is not a Christian behavior. And once you have committed the sin of suicide, how are you able then to ask forgiveness for it? Another point is that Hitler was an atheist and evolutionist who was strongly influenced by the writings of Marx. He was not a Christian at all. "You will know them by their fruits".

According to the technicalities, no matter what your sins are you can be absolved. So theoretically if Hitler repented, yes he would go to heaven. And if someone we would consider an extremely good person did not, they would burn in hell.

Its difficult to comprehend this because it is illogical but it is part of a Christian belief that anyone can be saved. So that would have to include Hitler. Stalin. Saddam Hussein. ANYONE.

Hitler said many things throughout the years. He did claim that he was a Christian, stating that he was fighting the work of God, and things of that nature. But then, he also stated that Christianity should die, evolution was in the natural order of things, etc. Even if Hitler claimed himself to be a Christian, he certainly was not. No Christian would do such a thing.

There is no indication that Hitler was a True Christian... none... as to forgivness... that is up to God... He will even forgive you... and since God has granted me His free gift of Salvation... you may also claim yours. If you are willing to come to God as He prescribes. God's free gift of Salvation is for all who will come.... but... it must be in The Way God prescribes...not the way you, or any one else, may want to make up....... Hitler didn't do it... but you may... if you choose to do it God's Way

EDIT TO JAMES

You say that his suicide proves he was not a good Christian. Er, wouldn't you say that organising the deaths of six million Jews and millions of non Jews, and the attempted extermination of an entire ethnic group would be the relevant proof that he was not a good Christian or indeed a good human???

You imply that if he hadn't have killed himself, you'd regard him as a good Christian!

How absurd.

EDIT TO ANIME FAN

- brilliant answer!

According to Christianity, the most evil person in the world (someone who rapes and murders a million kids, for instance), need only repent of his sins and be baptised and he's off scot free... while the kindest, most loving person in the world will fry in Hell if he's couldn't bring himself to believe that a talking snake gave an apple to a naked lady!

Hitler delved in to all sorts of cultic behavior including sorcery. If you want to pin your unbelief on the Satanic actions of that mad man, you go right ahead--but don't expect this lame excuse to hold up in Court.

Determining who is in heaven is God's final decision based on whether or not we are covered by the blood of Christ. This is the kind of situation in which we are NOT to judge.

As for forgiveness, again, that is not for you to decide. We are ALL sinners and therefore ALL worthy of hell.

Nope. he was not a Christian at all. He publicly pretended to be a Christian because German society was by and large Christian, but he unequivocally denounced Christianity in private.
