I've done something really bad, and I don't want to go to Hell. Can you tell me which God is the real God of the thousands of different religions out there? I need to pray and give him money so I can get into heaven, thanks!

wefmeister: The story you posted is definately written by a Christian. "He often would use rage to control everyone around him and he didn't find joy in anything" was used to describe a professor who was an atheist. This is the archetype of an atheist as religion sees him. I don't get it, why do you always see atheists as angry, lonely people?

In ALL the Love based religions, bar none, the act can be forgiven, thusly. By REPENTING of the deed from a sincere heart, and being sure not to repeat it knowingly. As for sending money, God ain't the US justice system, you cannot buy your way out of trouble, sweets, trust me. When your life turns upside down on you, and it inevitably will, maybe you'll recall this answer.......The Karmic Laws apply, under different terminology, in most religions, and is hinted at in the rest, so don't despair, it's just reaping the results of your sowing. That, too, shall pass.

You are not going to hell, neither is money or anything "of this world" required for you to Know God, and Be One With God Again. Stop trying to make God a person! God Just IS. "I Am That I Am." "I Am All that Is" Pondering these very thoughts among others, in what some like to call meditation, is All the "praying" that is required. Simply Seek to Know Him and He Will Answer As much as You are willing to Listen! Seeking to Know him is what A Master such as Jesus would explain as Seeking Within Yourself. For the Master knows his true connection With God, that We are OF God! We are ONE With God! Truly! Know this truth in your Soul and Being, and all other answers will Flow through you.

We cannot buy our way into Heaven. We cannot get into Heaven by not doing wrong either.
John 3:16 says "For God so loved the world, that He gave His one and only Son, that whosoever believes in Him, shall not not perish but have everlasting life." Jesus said, "I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father but by Me."
Jesus died on the cross to pay for our sins. We cannot save ourselves by doing good. The Bible says "we are not saved by works, lest any man should boast."
When we accept Jesus Christ as our Lord and Savior, He comes to live in our hearts and He will change us and make us holy before God. It is a supernatural act of God. We will walk with Jesus in faith based on what He's done for us on the cross and He will cleanse us of all unrighteousness, little by little, over time in our walk with Him.
The Redemption of Jesus on the cross is the greatest act of love and life in the history of the world.
Sin must be paid for before our Holy God and Jesus who is without sin, paid the penalty for our sins on the cross. He died and rose again on the third day.
God created all things from the beginning; He is the only God and He loves us and wants us to accept the death of His one and only Son on the cross to pay for our sins. We accept it as a free gift by faith.
We are in the last days of life on earth. The bible says that in the last days the devil will come with every form of deceit to try to deceive the whole world about God and Jesus Christ. That is why we have so many false religions today and the bible clearly has told us to expect that it would happen.

Well, if you want to pay money for your sins, there are religions and sects that will accommodate you. But Jesus has already paid for your sin/sins and you don't need to do that.

God does not want your money, he just wants you to love him and trust him, you can not buy forgiveness and all you can offer is yourself and your willing heart for forgiveness.
