Yes. Every action based on instinct has given me , in time (has mutated into...), more strength, intelligence, vitality, therefore more ability to be objective.
Also outgoingness and a feeling of being connected with the world and people.
Do you think you should trust instinct based on its fruit?
;-)

Depends on the situation. Usually I follow my instincts, but when it comes to people, I usually give them a second chance with reservations, and that depends on how bad the alarms are going off!

Yes and no....

There are times that my initial instinct is so strong that I KNOW I must act on it...

Other times, I have a gut reaction but it is filled with doubt... it is then that I usually take a step back to think it through. Unfortunately, my gut reaction is usually right on the money either way.

I guess for me it depends on how strong my initial reaction is.

I ALWAYS follow my instincts, having learned over the years that they have been proven reliable. But, I also believe my instincts are very closely wrapped up with the guidance and discernment of the Holy Spirit.

Hell, I left my country to marry a man I met on a two week vacation. He is still my husband today after 15 years! That was totally an instinct based decision.

I follow my instinct. I trust them. They have been honed. They have saved my life on a couple of occasions. It is only when I try to get cocky and "think" about it that I get in trouble. I wound up married to the wrong man that way. Bad decision.

My first instincts are usually sinful and against the Lord.

So my answer is no......I have to follow the leading of the Holy Spirit. He is my internal compass when it comes to making correct decisions.

I am very much led by instinct and intuition. Does that make me a bird?

Yes, I do. I either act on it at present or think it through--depending on the circumstances. I have never had any regrets.

Between stimulus and response, people have the power to choose.

This is the only thing that separates us from wild animals.

Who would want to give this up?
