The Romans worshiped multiple Gods, where the Christians worshiped one God, until the Trinity was formed. The Trinity was actually formed in order to get the Hebrews and Greeks to convert to Christianity.

It depends on when in Roman history you refer. The Romans were Christians during their reign as well, in their early days they worshiped multiple Gods based on the even older Greek ones.

chrstnw... had a good answer. Also, Christians, despite believing that Jesus was born of a virgin woman but with God as the father, do not accept this of other religions where many gods were born of the union of gods and humans.
