The commandment about “graven images” is one of the most misunderstood scriptures. Consider Exodus 25: 18-19: “And make two cherubim out of hammered gold at the ends of the cover. Make one cherub on one end and the second cherub on the other; make the cherubim of one piece with the cover, at the two ends.” Here, God is commanding that images be made!

So is God contradicting himself? First he say don’t make a graven image, and then he orders graven images to be made?

No, he is not contradicting himself. The problem is that folks have misinterpreted the words “graven image.”

According to Strong’s Concordance, the original Hebrew words that were translated into “graven image” referred to idols (Here is the concordance link: http://cf.blueletterbible.org/lang/lexicon/lexicon.cfm?strongs=06459 ). Of course, we know that an idol is a false god, or something that you place above God. Since the Cheribum are not false Gods, there is no contradiction.

There is a Mass every day of the year in the Catholic Church. On weekdays and Saturday, we hear a reading from either the Old or New Testament, a Psalm, and a reading from one of the Gospels. On Sundays, there is a reading from the Old and New Testament, a Psalm, and a reading from the Gospel.

How much do non-Catholics hear at their services. I ask because I have never been to a non-Catholic service.

I want to stop terrorism by stop insulting Islam, I just don't know how to do it:

First, it was the sex doll "Mustafa Shag" which turned out to insult muslims since Mustafa is one of the names of the prophet, needles to say the sex doll obviously is not sold in toy stores.

Now, the new Apple structure in New York, supposedly insults muslims as it closely resembles mecca, take a look at this article and suggest how could we stop insulting Islam to stop terrorist attacks:

I know quite a bit about Freemasonry. I know that you could be a CHristian and a Freemason. But don't you think that is contradictory? Freemasonry is littered with Pagean worship. I'm not here insulting anybody, i'm just curious?

I was in a restroom yesterday when a homosexual man walked in. He was to "friendly". I felt very uncomfortable in the next stall over from him.I was afaid he may try to take a peek. I wondered if this was a woman next to me how would I react. Or how would a woman react if I was in the stall next to her.

I am not saying he tried to take a look or anything but what if he wanted to. I don't want anyone like that easily having access to seeing me. I don't go that way.

Don't even start calling me a homophobe. I know I am. When we are exposed especially while doing our buisness we should be feel safe that our privacy will not be violated.

I asked a similar question about men and women in the same restrooms four times. I wanted to see how the responses were different.

After this the Lord appointed seventy-two others and sent them two by two ahead of him to every town and place where he was about to go. He told them, "The harvest is plentiful, but the workers are few. Ask the Lord of the harvest, therefore, to send out workers into his harvest field. Go! I am sending you out like lambs among wolves.

Tell me your story it can be small or big, it does not matter. Just something that makes you smile because God took that time to prove to he is there.

Tonight I had a small experience with God but it means a lot to me. I believed in God but my faith started to stray and the devil was trying to pull me back. Though I have been thinking for the past week I don't want that faith to leave me. Though I didn't know what to do.
So tonight I turned on the TV and it was a Christian channel. There were these two guys talking. These two men were friends. One of the men was asking the other questions about his life. I was just wondering you know what is going to be the end result of this show. I listen for a little while longer and then a commercial came on. I sat at my computer chair. I looked at a few things on my computer. Then I suddenly heard the phone ring. It was a friend of mine. I began talking about just what was going on in my life. Nothing important. I heard the TV again.

I know all that stuff about free will, but that doesn't stop him averting famine, earthquakes, disease, volcanic eruptions, global warming ect. For God to exist and not be a sadist bastard then human beings must be the only cause of human misery. Or do you have a better scenario?

What is it with you Christians and forcing your religion on other people? No I havent accepted Jesus as my savior cause he is not real. I am Atheist I don't go around forcing people to accept my ways.
I tolerate all religions. This is not directed towards those that keep their religions to himself. This is for those that support forcing others to believe in "god". "god" was invented so people would be easier to control by the government. Think about it, as I am sure that some religious folks DON'T do.

Why do christians say they are "saving" nonchristians when nobody else believes they are getting saved?
We do not want to be saved from an unreal god.
How do you expect us to believe we are getting saved when we don't believe anything that is said to harm us?
I see many nonbelievers living and dying peacefully?
and I hate those who say that nonbelievers will go to hell, cuz we don't believe in hell.
and as this is an experiment, I bet there will be answers that will prove>1 of my claims.
