The Jews respected their religion more, and didn't have as much personal wealth at stake when using it. They had no reason to alter the translations they were using, partly because they took the time to learn the proper language, and partly becaus their clergy were not supported according to how popular their teachings were.
Constantine converted to Christianity for political gain.

If you're referring to "textual corruption", it's because the Jews take the Torah very seriously. That goes for the entire Tanakh (old testament). It was copied letter-by-letter, and any mistake meant the entire thing was destroyed.
The gentiles are not so careful, which has led to such a varied swarm of worthless versions that SHOULD all be identical. Pitiful translations that lead to many very strange doctrines.

Every book is corrupt! Only God is Perfect and knows everything.
Jesus said He is the truth, If there were not lies in any book, before him and after him. Then He would not have said so.
But the Holy Spirit shows Chirstians the truth about any book.
Yeah, even the fake History books from School.

The Torah is just as corrupt in the books that it shares with the Bible. That is if you mean corrupt in the sense that there is no backing evidence and that there are glaring inconsistencies and contradictions.
