god's the biggest egomaniac this world has ever seen. He constantly wants praise and acceptance.Apparently, we are his children, yet the love is conditional. There are constant promises of hell and suffering. Total disregard for lives of his "children", inaction - sounds like a bad parent. My question is - how can some of you still prey on this ****?

First read this completely...

I noticed there were very few "Christians" that replied and seem to have avoided the question completely...What is your arguments for justification against these claims. On the subject of not taxing the Church properties there are many great points to be brought up, for instance...The 15 Billion in funding needed to insure 4 million uninsured children (which was recently vetoed by Mr. Bush) could come directly from these dodged Church property taxes instead of a 60 cent tobacco tax increase (I am guessing his little Iraq civil war could be funded by this lack of taxed property as well) Before sending any answers please read the question from this link first...http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index?qid=20071006085437AAlYwgx&r=w#DrddMDL7DEH9MaxtFxVh

Thank you very much for your kindness and time.

Perhaps the greatest legacy of God's six-day creation project, and the screams of atheists will reverberate around the universe forever. If anyone want to deny that this is their fate, just ask yourself, why do you think he created Hell anyway? Maybe for the fun it it?

I know people say God created the first two people in the universe. But even now do people think he creates us? Wouldn't God just leave it to the mother and father to create the baby.

Does God not forgive your sins until you confess them?

If you think you have to confess them, to whom ? What frequency? Each sin event? Each hour? Each day? Each week, with the aid of a computer to show you the 924 different or repeated sins that week ? If you did the same sin five times that day, such as saying "Gee", can you lump all five of these blasphemies into one prayer for forgiveness?

How about iniquities that are far worse than just sins?

I studied the Bible a long time, and have been learning it thoroughly, and still am; and eventually I realized the Bible god is fake.

But if you know of another god that might be real, tell me about it. In other words -- if I'm willing to listen, you can't call me an atheist.

How can Bible-fundamentalists say that the Bible is the word of God if it's not because of the Sacred Tradition of the Catholic Church?

there's no other basis of the claim that the Bible is the word of God other than from the Catholic Church's Sacred Tradition, so why do Bible-fundamentalists think they know better than Catholics?

..because he said, "Jesus Christ!" when he was frustrated at something. She said he was swearing. I'm not sure about that one, can you really consider "Jesus Christ!" a swear, in a public school? I mean, I don't think I'd get in trouble if I yelled "Thor!" when I stubb my toe, or something I'm a senior, by the way. Thoughts? Wait, for people who can't read, let me repeat a few key points here...

PUBLIC SCHOOL.
DETENTION.
TEACHER.
JESUS = SWEARING.

Kay, we clear? Now if anyone replies with something like "well was it a public school, or a private school?", you will get the DUNCE cap!.

Asking just for fun--you don't have to be Wiccan or Pagan to answer, but I would prefer the insults be kept to a minimum.

I like to say "Oh my Gods," "Gaia forbid," and "Thank the Gods." I use the abbreviations OMGs and TTG online. Occasionally when speaking on Witchy topics, I use a triplemoon emoticon, like so )O(, or put a Witch hat on my smiley face <]:-)

Have you heard, read, or used any other good Wiccan/Pagan expressions? Do you try to "talk Pagan" in real life?

For instance, if I say: Faith in the Gospel of the grace of the Lord Jesus Christ is absolutely the ONLY way to heaven, and ALL other people are doomed to go to the torments of hell for all eternity…

Would you call me “intolerant”?
And if a person did call me "intolerant", would they be “intolerant” for doing so?

I know the Catholics hold the assumption of to be dogma. That is must be accepted. My question is this. Why is the assumption of Mary considered to be true when two early popes condemned it as heresy? Also if this happened why is it not recorded in the book of John? It is estimated this gospel was written in 90 AD. Surely Mary was dead by this point. Wouldn't it have been mentioned? Every other assumption in the Bible is clearly mentioned

About the assumption: In 495 A.D., Pope Gelasius issued a decree which rejected this teaching as heresy and its proponents as heretics. In the sixth century, Pope Hormisdas also condemned as heretics those authors who taught the doctrine of the Assumption of Mary. The early Church clearly considered the doctrine of the Assumption of Mary to be a heresy worthy of condemnation. Here we have "infallible" popes declaring something to be a heresy. Then in 1950, Pope Pius XII, another "infallible" pope, declared it to be official Roman Catholic doctrine

This is a residential area and there are woods behind my house. They are supposed to have a public hearing on this. I do not want the church to to built just behind my house because of the noise and the trees will be gone. Please let me know if there are any valid points I can bring up which can make them reconsider their decision.
Thanks.

My friend is moving from her apt. because of a bad situation and she asked me to go over there today to help her get organized and packed. I did and she directed me as to what I should do. When I was cleaning out stuff she told me that if I saw something I wanted I could just go ahead and take it. I told her that I was not over there to take her stuff, I was over there to just help her. I did see some things that I wanted and I took them, a few of them I ask her about and then some of the things I didn't ask her about feeling embarrassed to ask her because I didn't want her to feel like I was just over there to "cash in." Now I feel guilty, like I stole from her, and I knew she was going to end up giving me some stuff and I wonder "was I really over there just to "cash in" on her move?" Cause that was not my intention. I have a guilt complex anyway. What is your input on this?

First of all, i hate death metal, its lyrics are satanic (well most of them, not all). Most metal bands are bad influence to young people (thanks godness i wasn't perverted by that music). They make them believe that there is no god. And influence them to commit suicide. As we know most of the school shootings were caused by sick minded people who listened to such destructive music. Death metal also spreads the belief of Anarchism, Atheism, suicide, genocide and alot of more stuff.
And finally this is just my humble opinion. Thanks.

(I confess I have said it many times in my life; and herein is my public apology for not actually stating who said it, so that we can examine the saying contextually.)

For example: Moses said that it was bad (a sin) for a homosexual man to be unfaithful to his wife by lying with another man in his wife's wedding bed.

V’et zachar lo tishkav mishk’vey eeshah toeyvah hee."

But I hear people saying, "The Bible says homosexuality is a sin, or they say "God said homosexuality is a sin". --

(Moses never came to that conclusion, Jesus never came to that conclusion, Paul, in a personal letter, kind of came to that conclusion. -- So why would someone say, "The Bible proves that God thinks of homosexuality as a sin?"
