Leviticus 25:44-46
44 " 'Your male and female slaves are to come from the nations around you; from them you may buy slaves. 45 You may also buy some of the temporary residents living among you and members of their clans born in your country, and they will become your property. 46 You can will them to your children as inherited property and can make them slaves for life, but you must not rule over your fellow Israelites ruthlessly.

1Peter 2: 18-19
18Slaves, submit yourselves to your masters with all respect, not only to those who are good and considerate, but also to those who are harsh. 19For it is commendable if a man bears up under the pain of unjust suffering because he is conscious of God.

Luke 12:47
47"That servant who knows his master's will and does not get ready or does not do what his master wants will be beaten with many blows.

I know there are a lot of practical reasons to treat sex seriously -- unwanted children, sexual diseases, emotional damage, etc. And I know that God made sex, so it must be good, and that he approves of manogomous sex within marriage. Yet, the bible seems to me, to present an overly negative perspective on sex. It lists permiscuity with murder, and over and over says sexual "sin" is reason for condemnation to hell. Have I misread this? Why does it seem to be such a very very negative issue when it's such a fundamental human drive?

If I ask you what religion you are and you tell me Protestant, you have not yet answered my question! That is what I learned in 9th grade Honors History class. Protestant isn't a religion because Protestant can be alot of religions! If you tell me that you're Protestant you could be Lutheran etc! So why do so many people say I'm Protestant rather than saying O I'm Lutheran or I'm _____?

What the heck is going on?

It's bad enough unbelievers attack Christians, but Christians attacking Christians because of different RELIGIONS.

It's about Jesus Christ, not religion.

You all should be ashamed of yourselves...

why are atheists so flustered with theists when they are branded by the latter as going to hell or something similar? I mean, since they don't believe in hell in the first place, why be so affected when faced with such lines of criticism? It's not like they're actually being physically disadvantaged or what. I thought atheists would be the more cool-headed and laid-back side of the great debates since theists tend to get zealous with their religion and the atheists don't believe they're affected anyway. But more often than not it's the atheists who start the squabble and do the baiting questions.

There is a criminal fraud and extortion racket... Christianity... that has been in business for about 1,700 years. As a consequence of their ongoing criminal activities, they are doing immense harm to the citizens of the USA, and to humanity in general.

I propose a class-action civil law suit, to be filed in Federal Court, which would seek to strip Christianity of its tax exempt status, and further, would seek to order the Justice Department to seek criminal penalties for fraud, extortion, conspiracy, and crimes against humanity under the existing 'Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organizations Act' (RICO) statutes.

Asclepius raised mortals from the dead,

Doesn't that sound like Jesus? Shouldn't we call him by his rightful name?
