Jesus came and taught us how to live our lives, Jesus lived for our sins, he did not die for our sins (for one person to die to make up for someone else's sins, what an absurd idea, unless you have been indoctrinated to believe that. Jesus willingly died to prove he meant what he said. Only Paul and other early church leaders concocted that part of "Jesus dying for our sins". Actually Jesus taught us about 30 different ways of going to Heaven, Paul taught that there was only one way.
I am a red-letter Christian, I believe only in Jesus' teachings, I am suspicious of all other Bible verses.
By the way, I feel Paul's way (The church Christian way) can still get you to Heaven. Why? Cause you will probably stumble into enough of Jesus' actual teachings to have your heart witness that Jesus' was teaching you the keys to Heaven.

Of course not. No more than I believe that Prometheus tricked the gods to give us fire.
In the 2000 years since a man named jesus supposedly lived and died, there has been absolutely no verifiable evidence to even suggest that his death had any kind of lasting impact on anyone.

What is this "sin" you monotheists keep nattering on about? And even if I accepted the existence of such a thing, how in Midgardh could someone ELSE'S death have *any* impact on my relationship to it or culpability for it?
Hel's lacy undies! Do any of you actually listen to your own reasoning? Your god loves me so much he beat the crap out of his own son and tortured him to DEATH, in order to take it out on him instead of me, apparently, BUT if I don't agree that was a sensible course of action, he's going to do the same thing to me *anyway,* and FOREVER?
I have no sin. It's an alien concept from a foreign culture and an entirely different worldview. My gods may not be perfect, or even immortal, but at least I'm good enough for them.

Because God's word is the truth. God does not lie.
1 Corinthians 15:1-4 says, “Moreover, brethren, I declare unto you the gospel which I preached unto you, which also ye have received, and wherein ye stand; By which also ye are saved, if ye keep in memory what I preached unto you, unless ye have believed in vain. For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures; And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures.”

Yes, he died for my sins, yes I'm saved.
I believe Jesus died on the cross for my sins, rose from the dead on the third day. I have repented and was baptized into Christ's death. (romans 6)
I am a follower of the son of the living God.

I'm open to the possibility he died for the sins of humans. I hate it when people say they know they are saved. They don't truly KNOW they are saved. If they did, they would be on the same level as a God.

Nobody has ever provided any evidence that any gods, much less a specific god, exist. People believe in specific gods because of indoctrination from an early age, tradition, hallucinations, fear of torture (for gods sadistic enough to threaten it) and other similarly illogical reasons. But no gods exist in reality; these are all stories, created for people who were scared of the world long before we understood it. Now we have no more reason for these superstitions.

I believe he died for our sins, and we WERE saved. Look around you though. We aren't anymore! It's a little late to turn back, so ask god for forgiveness I guess...and I hope people don't expect Jesus to come back again and save us, because he's helped so much, and we took it for granted.

Yes. Because I see how people are without Jesus. Also he took away my bad desires. The more I think about God and thinking positive the more things change in my life. There is a big difference in people who dont know God. And Jesus was real he was written about by jewish historians who didnt even like him so there ya go....
