Water baptism doesn't save you or anyone. The only way to be saved is to BELIEVE that Jesus, who is God, died for your sins on the cross and rose again (1 Corinthians 15:1-4)

Just read the bible and you will know if you are saved or not. God is looking at your heart, and not your work. so if you are good performer in front of many people but bad in your heart, i dont know if you are gonna be saved or not. but i cannot give you the perfect answer for your question but i can help you. i can give you some verses to read and then you will know if you are saved or not. first, go to John 3:16 ; after that, go to John 14:6; after that, you should already know what way to use in order to be saved. okay! next, ask this question to yourself. "what can i do in order to keep my confidence that im saved?" when you ask that question to you, then read Revelation 22:7.

How can you know for sure if you are saved? Consider 1 John 5:11-13 (NLT): "And this is what God has testified: He has given us eternal life, and this life is in his Son. So whoever has God's Son has life; whoever does not have his Son does not have life. I write this to you who believe in the Son of God, so that you may know you have eternal life." Who is it that has the Son? Those who have believed in Him and accepted Him (John 1:12). If you have Jesus, you have life. Eternal life. Not temporary, but eternal.
God wants us to have assurance of our salvation. We cannot live our Christian lives wondering and worrying each day whether we are truly saved or not. That is why the Bible makes the plan of salvation so clear. Believe in Jesus Christ and you will be saved (John 3:16; Acts 16:31). Do you believe that Jesus is the Savior, that He died to pay the penalty for your sins (Romans 5:8; 2 Corinthians 5:21)? Are you trusting Him alone for salvation? If your answer is yes, you are saved! Assurance means to "put beyond all doubt." By taking God's Word to heart, you can "put beyond all doubt" the fact and reality of your eternal salvation.
Jesus Himself states this regarding those who have believed in Him: "I give them eternal life, and they will never perish. No one will snatch them away from me, for my Father has given them to me, and he is more powerful than anyone else. So no one can take them from me" (John 10:28-29 NLT). Again, this gives more emphasis to "eternal." Eternal life is just that--eternal. There is nobody, not even yourself, who can take Christ's God-given gift of salvation away from you.
Memorize these passages. We hide God's Word in our hearts so that we do not sin against Him (Psalm 119:11), and this includes doubt. Take joy in what God's Word is saying to you: That instead of doubt we can live with confidence! We can have the assurance from Christ's own Word that the state of our salvation will never be in question. Our assurance is based on God's love for us through Jesus Christ. Jude 24-25, "To Him who is able to keep you from falling and to present you before his glorious presence without fault and with great joy - to the only God our Savior be glory, majesty, power and authority, through Jesus Christ our Lord, before all ages, now and forevermore! Amen."

there are many people who answer you that base their salvation on the epistles of the bible. but you can't do that. why?? b/c the epistles are letters that paul wrote to ALREADY BORN AGAIN christians. (the epistles includes the books from romans to jude.) the epistles only tell you HOW to live AFTER being born again.... they don't tell you HOW to actually be born again.
if you want to find out how Jesus & the apostles taught on being born again, you must go to the history book of the Bible ... the book of acts.
your salvation is the most important thing in your life. if you fail to enter heaven, then your earthly existence was a failure.
it would be most beneficial to you if you go to your Bible & read this for yourself, so you will know it is all scriptural.
Jesus said 3 times in john 3 we must be born again if we are to enter into His Kingdom. He said emphatically in vs 5, "Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water AND of the Spirit, he CANNOT enter into the kingdom of God."
Jesus knew that people understood how to be born of water b/c john the baptist was baptizing in water before Jesus appeared on the scene ...
however, they didn't understand about how to be born of the Spirit. Jesus explained it to nicodemus, comparing His Spirit to the wind. (john 3)
Peter also tells us how to be saved .... it coincides w/ what Jesus said regarding the new birth of water & of Spirit.
when Peter gave his 1st sermon on the day of Pentecost,
he was asked "WHAT MUST WE DO TO BE SAVED"???
peter's message parallels that of Jesus when he said ...
"Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost." (acts 2:38)
this is the plan of redemption that Jesus authored at Calvary.
it is how we OBEY Jesus' death, burial & resurrection.
it is the new birth ....
to OBEY Jesus' DEATH ...... we REPENT.
repentance means we "die to ourselves" ...
it is more than just asking forgiveness of sin.
it is turning away from the life of sin & turning toward God ... living for Him.
to OBEY Jesus' BURIAL ...... we are baptized by immersion "in Jesus' Name"....
not "in the name of the father, son & Holy Spirit" ...
these are titles, not a name.
there is no power to forgive sin in a title.
Jesus' blood signified by HIS NAME is the only name that covers (forgives, remits) your sins ...
you must be baptized w/ His NAME spoken as you are immersed in the water (symbolic for the blood He shed at Calvary).
as far as i know, only apostolic churches baptize "in Jesus Name". they baptize just like the apostles did ... (hence the name, apostolic).
to OBEY Jesus' RESURRECTION.....
receive the baptism or the infilling of the Holy Spirit w/ the evidence of speaking in another language as God's Spirit gives you the ability. (acts 2 :4)
receiving the Holy Spirit is NOT automatic at baptism.
in acts 19, paul was sent there b/c there were believers.
the 1st thing he said to them was, "have ye received the Holy Ghost SINCE ye believed?" (acts 19:2)
when they said they'd never heard of receiving the HOly Ghost, paul immediately then asked HOW they were baptized.
why??
b/c paul knew if they had not been baptized "in Jesus' Name", then these believers were not following the doctrine of Jesus Christ that they preached.
the same goes for today.
... & like Jesus said, it IS NECESSARY for salvation.
please don't listen to those who base salvation on belief only... just asking Jesus into your heart ... it is necessary, but it is only the beginning. w/o belief, the rest of the new birth is not possible....
however, BELIEVING ONLY is NOT ENOUGH for salvation.
scripture says the devil believes.... is he saved???
no.
why not, if he believes???
b/c he has not OBEYED the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
the history book of the church (the book of acts) tells how the apostles preached the new birth & how to obtain it.
for further reference, read acts 2, 8, 10, 19.
denominal churches today have twisted the plan of redemption by Jesus Christ ... saying you must only believe & ask Him into your heart, period... that's it. some say you need to be baptized, others say it's not necessary.
but as scripture says according to Jesus Christ in john 3:5, you CANNOT enter heaven unless you are born of the WATER AND THE SPIRIT.
you can't believe the Bible is true & yet not believe in the new birth as spelled out in the book of Acts.
10,000 people were saved in the book of acts by obeying the new birth.
we are to partake of the new birth the same as the apostles taught. the road to salvation has NOT changed.
"i am not ashamed of the Gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation" (rom. 1:16)

If you believe yourself to be in a state of grace, then go with it. Your personal belief is more important than anything else.
