If people choose to listen to death metal (or any kind of music)
its completely their god-given choice, to ban it would be ridiculous. People will always murder and commit suicide, for one reason or another, but getting rid of death metal would only make people more mad. Its like saying we need to ban cigarettes, its not healthy to smoke but people would go nuts if you actually made it illegal.
Death metal can have a negative influence on kids, or people in general really, but its not some sort of mind changing drug, its a form of entertainment, as weird as it may seem to many of us who arent familiar with it.

Of course the idea that there is not enough space for the dogs who need homes to the point where the shelter has no other option than to euthanize is not a nice one. But there is no other alternative. If they kept the same dogs they would have to turn away other animals & eventually all the shelters would end up full. I don't agree that the method used to euthanize in the example with the German Shepherds was the best option, no. I don't know a whole lot about that story, I chose not to read about it because I can get sensitive with heated issues involving the breed of dog I own. I'm not sure if those dogs had behavioral or health issues which may have prevented them from being adoptable. While the idea is nice, it's just not realistic & sometimes its the most humane thing to do.

I'm definatly not a fan either but it shouldn't be banned. If people want to write it and listen to it, whatever. It's their choice and their choices shouldn't be controlled by society. People can believe what they want to believe and no one should try to control them. As for people suicide and school shootings and stuff those people need help. And chances are it's not the music alone-there will likely be many other influences (bad relationships with their familys, traumatic events in their past) People who write that music/listen to it probably have other factors that made that so and getting rid of the music won't solve anything.

Anarchism, Atheism, suicide, genocide. Examples?
There's also rap music that has atheist lyrics, anarchism is punk music, or political music. And I've never heard of a decent band promoting genocide.
I'm an atheist. I've never heard a type of music i didn't like. I'm also 17, and have in no way been influenced by any of it. I listen to Jedi Mind Ticks, a Muslim underground hiphop group, who sing a lot of songs about Allah and the punishments for not worshiping said, allah. But I'm not turning muslim any time soon, they're just a good group.
I've also listened to several screamer/gore bands, with videos depicting gorey psychotic murder. I'm not a gorey psychotic murderer, last time I checked.

"Should death metal get banned forever? "
No.
"First of all, i hate death metal"
Ah. And if you don't like it, by golly somebody ought to ban it.
"its lyrics are satanic (well most of them, not all). "
No, they're not.
"Most metal bands are bad influence to young people "
No, they're not.
"(thanks godness i wasn't perverted by that music). "
No. You were perverted by moronic religious upbringing, and what would appear to be a sense of entitlement that things should magically go away if you don't like 'em.
"They make them believe that there is no god."
No, they don't.
"And influence them to commit suicide. "
No, they don't.
"As we know most of the school shootings were caused by sick minded people who listened to such destructive music. "
No, they weren't.
"Death metal also spreads the belief of Anarchism, Atheism, suicide, genocide and alot of more stuff."
No, it doesn't. The bible does.
"And finally this is just my humble opinion."
And you're entitled to your opinion as far as it goes without intruding on my freedom to choose. Your right to flail your arms wildly ends where my nose begins. And vice versa.
"Thanks."
Have a day.
And while you're at it... check your "facts" while listening to some Hammerfall.

If u hate death metal, then DON'T listen 2 it. We all have the freedom here in America to listen 2 whatever music, watch whatever TV shows we want 2. Remember, this is America and we have something called the U.S. Constitution that protects freedom of expression.

No it shouldn't be banned...lets see what the christian cult's bible promotes:
violence (see book of judges or just about any other old testament book),
oppression of women (see the bible),
polygamy (see King Solomon),
lust (see King Solomon again and book of proverbs and book of Ezekiel),
ignorance (see yourself and other modern cultists),
stupidity (see creation myth, and other religious decrees like the earth is the center of the universe or the condemnation of Galileo),
adultery and premarital sex and murder (see story of David and Bathsheba),
incest (see story of Lot),
rape (story of Lot again),
rape, torture, and dismemberment (judges 19:22-29); glorification of killing (1 samuel 29:5),
mass killings (King Herod in matthew),
and the list goes on and on...it's a good thing that there isn't a V-chip for books or the bible would have nothing left in it for anyone to read.
AND on top of that..think of all the evangelicals, preachers, priests, etc. that have had affairs, sought out prostitutes, molested innocent children, committed rape, murder, etc...well they all read the bible so that MUST be the cause...
Hopefully my satirical answer has shown you the fallacy in your question...and if not, all well, because that is what's great about America...you have the right to express your opinion and listen to whatever music you prefer and I have the right to express my opinion and listen to whatever music I prefer...

The fact that I'm listening to Cradle of Filth as I read this makes me laugh.
It seems to be rather subtle, to be spreading so many beliefs...
Lyrics to Nymphetamine Fix by Cradle Of Filth
Lead to the river
Midsummer I wave
A "V" of black swans
On with hope to the grave
And through Red September
With skies fire-paved
I begged you appear
Like a thorn for the holy ones
Cold was my soul
Untold was the pain
I faced, when you left me
A rose in the rain...
So I swore to the razor
That never, enchained
Would your dark nails of faith
Be pushed through my veins again
Bared on your tomb
I'm a prayer for your loneliness
And would you ever soon
Come above unto me?
For once upon a time
From the binds of your lowliness
I could always find
The right slot for your sacred key
Six feet deep is the incision
In my heart that barless prison
Discolours all with tunnel vision
Sunsetter...
Nymphetamine
Sick and weak from my condition
This lust, this vampiric addiction
To her alone in full submission
None better...
Nymphetamine
Nymphetamine, nymphetamine
Nymphetamine girl
Nymphetamine, nymphetamine
My nymphetamine girl
Wracked with your charm
I'm circled like prey
Back in the forest
Where whispers persuade
More sugar trails
More white lady laid
Than pillars of salt
Fold to my arms
Hold their mesmeric sway
And dance out to the moon
As we did in those golden days
Christening stars
I remember the way
We were needle and spoon
Mislaid in the burning hay
Bared on your tomb
I'm a prayer for your loneliness
And would you ever soon
Come above unto me?
For once upon a time
From the bind of your holiness
I could always find
The right slot for your sacred key
Six feet deep is the incision
In my heart that barless prison
Discolours all with tunnel vision
Sunsetter...
Nymphetamine
Sick and weak from my condition
This lust, this vampiric addiction
To her alone in full submission
None better...
Nymphetamine
Sunsetter...
Nymphetamine
(Nymphetamine)
None better...
Nymphetamine
Nymphetamine, nymphetamine
Nymphetamine girl
Nymphetamine, nymphetamine
My nymphetamine girl

No. I don't like it so I don't but iy. Simple really. If you ban one thing, where will it stop? Should we ban the Bible, it is full of genocide? It promotes things I don't believe in yet others do. Do you get my point?
I don't understand how people can blame violence in todays world on the violence depicted in music, movies or video games. They are just making excuses and trying to pass the blame to someone else. Its the parents responsibility to teach their kids right from wrong, not celebrities, musicians or anyone else.

um.....freedom of choice.....listen to what ever you want, but one thing i do have to say.....DEATH METAL AND HEAVY METAL ARE NOT THE CAUSE OF SUICIDE, GENOCIDE AND ALL THE OTHER THINGS YOU LISTED. all i listen to is metal and rock and i am not suicidal and i am not satanic. i love horror movies( blood, guts etc.) and there is no problems with me. and the belief that there is no god...well music, movies and crap like that have nothing to do with it. i dont believe in god, because of science. no proof on god exists, and if he was real then why the **** did he let my life get so ****** up and why am i still suffering because of what others have done to me???? if you would like to discuss this matter more....please e-mail me at katblack101@yahoo.com !!!
