And you can thank Martin Luther for starting this mess.
Hush Puppie - there are actually 22,000+ Protestant denominations now. And they all use the Bible as their defense!

A) You do not need a building. Preaching on street corners and in open fields is the preferred method for beginners. At least that way you are staying within tradition.
B) You may interpret the bible any old whichofaway you want to. Again, that too is traditional. Goes back to Hus and Luther, in fact. Actually it goes back to Arius, a second century bishop who decided he had a brighter idea about what God meant than Jesus had. It's still a very popular heresy. Look it up. It'll have some pointers for you.
C) Forget the marketing plan. Word of mouth is always best for these endeavors. After all, you're gonna have to fake sincerity and piety a lot and having a bunch of pr people around will cut into your success at this endeavor.

Well, you don't want to end up like Jim Jones or David Koresh or those fun folks who went to the afterlife on the Hale-Bopp comet...for a building, pick someplace safe and non-threatening, like the local shopping mall or a quiet corner of the supermarket. For your Scriptural interpretation, start a belief that only every other line in the Bible is true.

How about one that emphasized the Levitical
Priesthood? I been reading Deuteronomy and I think it's really cool.
By the way, is it true that Moses peed on a shrub and it bloomed manna for a week?

first you have to tell people you are 'born again', but you are better since you are the modified version or whatever. there are many gullible people out there that believe in anything they've been told. just look at the Bible-fundamentalists.

If you live south of the Mason-Dixon line, then you should have no problem. There's lots of gullible, irrational, willfuly ignorant people down there.
